Weekly Walmart Find: Hunter Rain Boots!!

Thursday, April 28, 2016

Hi!! Happy Thursday!!
Um. So I am kind of excited about my Weekly Walmart Find for this week :)
I feel like most of you are familiar with the super high end English rain boot brand: Hunter Boots. I own one pair- I got them almost 4 years ago (on sale- but still paid a little over $100 for them) and absolutely LOVE them. I pretty much wear them every day during the fall and winter months.

Do you own a pair of them? Have you been on the fence about purchasing a pair? I know in most areas of the U.S., the rainy spring season is nearing the end- so the NEED for rain boots isn't necessarily as great as it was a couple weeks ago- but I am still pretty giddy about sharing this "find" with you!

If you go to this link- you will find a whole entire page of Hunter Boots, on SUPER sale, on Walmart.com!! Here's the deal with snagging a pair of Hunter boots on Walmart's website: you are going to have to do a little searching around for your size and preferred color. The downside is that there aren't a TON of sizes available. The upside is that if the size and the color/style you want is available- you can score a pair of Hunter Boots for a crazy steal of a deal! Also- they not only have women's boots- they have all sorts of colors/sizes for kids!!

My Hunter boots are a glossy plum color- but I am SO obsessed with this classic forest green color! These boots come in a couple different women sizes and are $71.99 (they are usually $160.00)!!!
Um. LOVE these pink Hunter boots for a little girl! These boots come in several "bigger" girl sizes and average $35.00- which is 50% off the normal price of these boots!
I love this fun "frog" green color for a little boy (or girl for that matter)- these green color Hunter boots comes in several different sizes and averages $27.00!!! That is a savings of over $40 off the original price!

So how fun is this "find?"  As much shopping and looking around as I do on Walmart's website- I was pretty surprised and super excited to see they carried Hunter's and that they are ON SALE for such great prices!

If you are in the market for a new pair of rain boots- even if you are getting them for this upcoming fall/winter- go check out the selection Walmart has!!!

Hope you have the BEST day!

What's Up Wednesday!

Wednesday, April 27, 2016

So...it is the last Wednesday of the month...which means it is time for another What's Up Wednesday Post! I am joining MelShay and Sheaffer for their super fun link up party!

What we're eating this week...Simple, prepped ahead meals are what is being served at our house this week! Tacos, Italian Sub Sandwiches, Turkey Burgers on the grill, and grilled chicken breast plus steamed veggies is what we are eating. And you can bet if the weather allows it- we will be eating outside!! I am ALL about having little to no clean up to do in the kitchen!! :)

What I'm reminiscing about...Well with today being Baby #5's due date...I have been thinking a lot about the past 10 months and how FAST it has gone by and yet how slow at times it has felt. Totally how it goes when you are waiting in excited anticipation for something, right!?!? I can honestly say though- it has been a wonderful past 10 months and I am SO thankful to have had such a healthy, uneventful pregnancy!!
So-I feel incredibly vain for posting this many pictures of myself...but it is kind of fun to see just how much the "bump" has grown!
What I am loving....the precious, fun stage my oldest daughter is currently in :) She is 7 1/2 years old and I had NO idea just how fun it would be to have a child this age!! She is very independent and is a HUGE help with her sisters and brother. She is super smart and we have SO many great conversations. She is very interested in the "how's" and "why's" of things...but is still extremely innocent and very much a little girl. Just the other day she came home and told me that her friend had some pixie dust delivered to her house by Tinkerbell :) She asked me if I thought Tinkerbell would come to our house if she wrote her a note...and I said- "well- it's worth a try!" :) Talk about PRECIOUS!!!
So she wrote Tinkerbell a note as well as left her a little parting gift in the way of a red "jewel." She was beside herself with excitement when she woke up this morning and saw that Tinkerbell had dropped off a baggie of blue sparkle pixie dust- AND- Tinkerbell wrote her a note ;) If I could just bottle her up- right where she is right now- I would!! :)
What we've been up to...We have been soaking up EVERY minute of the gorgeous spring weather that has blessed the Indianapolis area!! We are definitely "outside" people and the most happy when we can be outside playing. We are super lucky to have a huge backyard with a big playscape (Aaron designed and built it himself!!) and a trampoline. The kids pretty much live out here as long at the weather permits :)
What I'm dreading...Not a darn thing!

What I'm excited about...Well. DUH. Having Baby #5 would be at the top of "Things I am Excited About" HA! I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow and I am hopeful things are moving in the direction of having a baby sooner than later!! :)

I am also excited to be teaming up with Erica and Leigh for our monthly link up – Pinspiration Wednesday!  Our next link up is Wednesday, May 4 - which is next week! Our topic for May is: Getting Bathing Suit Ready! We would love it if you would link up with us and share your favorite healthy recipes, workouts and even motivational quotes related to health and fitness that you have found by "pinning" on Pinterest!
What I am watching/reading...
Okay. So Aaron and I JUST jumped on the Netflix bandwagon this past month and I am in LOVE!!
We don't have cable- and my favorite show is House Hunters. All the heart eyes for Netflix and all of their episodes of House Hunters!! We are also super excited about all the kids' shows they have. My girls have been in heaven with all the My Little Pony and Sofia shows that Aaron put in their "account!"
What I am listening to...I have recently just started listening to some Podcasts...The Happy Hour with Jamie Ivey is a current favorite of mine! I like to put one on while I am folding laundry or making dinner! I am also loving the Matt Wertz station on Pandora and we are always listening to Daddy's very vibrant mix of hip-rop, country and pop songs! HA!

What I'm wearing...I mean- I don't want to keep talking about being pregnant- HELLO REDUNDANT- BUT- I am literally wearing the same 3 shirts and 2 pair of pants that fit me. HA! I am SO ready for a little more variety in my wardrobe!!! :)

What I'm doing this weekend...Um...well...I am REALLY hoping that I am in the hospital this weekend- holding my new baby!! But- if that is not the case- there is a festival going on at a local airport by us and it seems like it would be the perfect thing to take the kids to for a couple of hours! I just love this time of year when there are so many community, outdoor activities to go to on the weekend!

What I'm looking forward to next month...Next month is going to be BUSY! We will have a newborn, my daughter Celine is celebrating her 4th birthday, and it is my girls' last month of school!! There will be a lot of activities we will be attending- but it will be so much fun! I am SO excited for summer break! The outdoor pool at our YMCA opens on Memorial Day Weekend- and you can bet- if the weather is warm enough- we will be there opening day!! :)

What else is new...Nothing really! Just enjoying being where we are RIGHT NOW :)

BONUS QUESTION: What is My Favorite Mother's Day Gift to Receive or Give?
So- I LOVE to do themes for my mom's Mother's Day gift. I have done a "garden" theme before and several "relaxing/bath" themes- as that is one of my mom's favorite ways to unwind. This year- I got her a "big" gift- and then a basket full of things that I hope make her smile :) As far as Mother's Day presents for me....well.....the ULTIMATE gift would be to have our house professionally cleaned while I was away getting a massage, facial, pedicure and manicure. HA! Sounds amazing doesn't it?? :) That is definitely NOT happening this year- or for SEVERAL more years to come...but maybe some day! ;) Really- what I love on Mother's Day is to go to church with my family, get at least ONE GOOD picture with my kids and have Aaron do all the cooking and cleaning up afterwards. And I definitely love spending time outside. If my kids were to get me a gift- the best thing they could give me is a day without any whining, tantrums, tattling or meltdowns- HA!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today!! I hope you have the BEST day!!

Tuesday Talk!

Tuesday, April 26, 2016

Hi!! Happy Tuesday!!
How is your week going so far?? I sure hope it is off to a great start!
I wanted to give everyone a friendly reminder that next Wednesday, May 4, Leigh, Erica and I will be hostly our monthy "Pinspiration Wednesday" link-up! Our topic for May is: Getting Bathing Suit Ready! We would love it if you would link up with us and share your favorite healthy recipes, workouts and even motivational quotes related to health and fitness that you have found by "pinning" on Pinterest! I am especially excited about this topic as I have a solid amount of baby weight to lose and I am going to need all the motivation and inspiration I can get!
And now onto a little something I wanted to share today :)
So- I am (hopefully) just days away from welcoming my 5th precious baby and SO many people have asked me if I feel nervous about having "THAT MANY KIDS." I have also had multiple, albeit, well-meaning, individuals insinuate how "crazy" I must be to want to have so many kids. HA!
And I totally get it! 5 kids is A LOT. BUT- there are many families out there with even more kids than that! My mom is one of 8 GIRLS. Now that is A LOT of kids- HA! One of my best friends has 6 kids and she is from a family of 10 kids! We know a family from church who has 9 kids- 4 of them being 2 different sets of twins! Anyway- my point is- 5 kids is A LOT- but I also don't think it is THAT many. Does that make any sense?!?

Okay- getting back to my point. I promise I have one :)
I am NOT nervous at all to have a 5th child. My husband and I are seriously just SO darn excited. And you know why we aren't nervous and totally just super excited??
Because we don't have blinders on. We know for SURE things are going to be crazy. hectic. SUPER loud. We are going to have even less time for ourselves as a couple and as individuals. We know I am going to be feeding the baby A LOT in the first few months and that Aaron is going to have to pick up in areas I usually "cover." We know the kids are going to smother the baby, love the baby SO much and probably never leave the baby alone- which is super precious but can also be quite, ahem, annoying- HA! We know getting out the door to go somewhere as a family is going to be a circus.

The key words here are: WE ALREADY KNOW THIS.

And by knowing this and having done it 4 times already- it prepares us in a different way than how a first time or second time or even third time parent might feel (I know- because I definitely felt differently when I was expecting my first baby!!). We have totally found our groove as parents- as a couple with many, young children and we know what works for our family. We really don't care what other people think of our parenting style or how we do "things." We also know that for every burst of absolute CRAZINESS- think house alarm going off and no idea of how to turn it off, Aaron stuck in crazy bad traffic-AND NOT HOME, pot on the stove boiling over water, all 4 kids crying and me with a horrible, crazy headache (happened last week :)- there are many more moments of CALM, EASY and just plain FUN. Experience and perspective allow us to get through the crazy moments without freaking out- because we know they are short lived and usually within 10 minutes- everything will be just fine again :)

We learned awhile ago- I think it was right after we had our 3rd daughter, that it was SO much better to lean into the crazy versus trying to fight it and control situations that were just NOT worth controlling. Babies and kids just don't make sense sometimes- you know!?!

Anyway- I am not sure if I making any sense- but here's what I hope you take away from all of this. Number 1: Please don't think I am acting like I am some awesome parent because I have had a lot of kids and therefore have a ton of wisdom and experience and am just SO amazing. Because I am NOT. On a daily basis- I am in a constant conversation with Jesus- begging him to help me be the best mom for EACH ONE of my kids- because I surely can't do it on my own! Number 2: If you are feeling overwhelmed with where you are as a parent- whether that be as a first time mom, you just welcomed your 2nd or 3rd baby or maybe you are expecting your 7th- just take a deep breath, look around you- even if that is a screaming infant and melting down toddler and just SMILE. Even if you feel like you are going to lose it :) Force a smile. Look at your precious babies screaming- they are healthy! Their lungs work so well! HA! The screaming and meltdowns will stop- pretty quickly if you just give your toddler that cookie he wants and put on an episode of Bubble Guppies ;)

An attitude of gratitude- (it sounds SO cheesy- I KNOW)- goes SUCH a LONG way when you are in the thick of parenting precious, young little babies and kids.

I really don't know much when it comes down to it. But I do know that :)

Hope you have the BEST day!!

Monday Mish-Mash!

Monday, April 25, 2016

Hi! Happy Monday!
How was your weekend??
Our's was pretty darn great!
The weather was PERFECT. Blue skies. Warm Sunshine. Just GORGEOUS!

Saturday morning, Aaron and I dropped the kids off at our friends' house for a couple hours and went off to have our final date before baby #5 arrives!  Even though we have lived in the Indianapolis area for almost 2 years- we really don't get out much- especially outside of the suburb we live in. So- we really had no idea where to go for breakfast...but that's why Google is awesome :) I did a quick search on my phone and we ended up at a Mexican Restaurant that also serves traditional American breakfast diner type food- named Biscuits.
Yes. The name of the restaurant is Biscuits! HA!
The food was SO good- Aaron and I both got super classic breakfast dishes- but the menu also had yummy items like breakfast burritos and huevos rancheros.  The waitresses were super sweet, it took no time to get our food and they were playing hip-hop music (YES!) in the background. Our table was right by a cute older couple who you could tell were "regulars" and a group of hungover college guys. It was SO FUN! HA! Aaron and I love "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" type places and Biscuits was definitely one of those restaurants. I am so happy we stumbled upon it and got to enjoy a breakfast date there!
After breakfast at Biscuits, we went on a little walk :)
LOVE this man SO much! And I love how this picture makes us both look like we have no wrinkles- which is SO NOT the case! HA!
Sunday afternoon, the girls and I were hanging out in the backyard while James was napping and my wonderful husband was detailing my van. We decided we needed to go pick out some new nail polish and headed to Walmart to pick out a new color for the new baby :) I normally only like to wear OPI or Essie nail polish- as I feel like it lasts the longest- but the girls insisted I get this fun pink color. It was super cheap- $1.98- but I am totally interested to see how it holds up! I put my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE top coat over it- Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat- so I am hopeful I will be able to go a couple of days without one of my nails chipping.
Here's a picture of my finished nails...the color of my nails in this picture is a little darker than what it looks like in "real life." It is definitely more of a cotton candy pink than fuchsia. It's super pretty and VERY springy :)
And now it is Monday and the start of a new week!

My two youngest girls have some fun things happening at school this week, that I get to be a part of AND my due date is Wednesday!!
We are REALLY REALLY hoping we get to meet Baby #5 by this time next week.
Fingers and toes crossed! HA!

Hope you had a wonderful weekend and your week is off to a GREAT start!
Have the BEST day!

I am also linking up with Biana and Meghan!

Friday Favorites!

Friday, April 22, 2016

Hi!!! Happy Friday!
My oldest daugther summed it up perfectly the other day when she said, "I can't believe how fast April is flying by!" Seriously!!! How can it be that May is less than 2 weeks away?!?
No complaining over here- I am the HAPPIEST when it is warm and sunny and the days are long...I am SO glad for spring to officially be here and summer to be juuussssttt around the corner!

How was your week? Our's was good! It was pretty low-key and I really relish those kinds of weeks :)

Being that it's Friday (YAY!), it's time to share some FAVORITES of mine from this past week!

ONE
I know a lot you love dry shampoo just as much as I do! I mean- how can you not love a hair product that let's you prolong the whole process of washing/drying/styling your hair for a few more days?!? I ran out of my current bottle of "Not Your Mother's Clean Freak Dry Shampoo" a couple weeks ago and had heard good things about Dove's Dry Shampoo...so I picked this bottle up at Walmart the last time I was there. I LOVE it! I have yet to use it and get the funky, white residue some dry shampoos will leave on your scalp. I like the smell of it as well! If you are looking for a new dry shampoo- I would definitely recommend giving this one a try!
TWO
So- the weather has gotten considerably warmer here in the Indianapolis area and with the impending arrival of Baby #5- I decided to bite the bullet and change over all of the kids' closets from fall/winter clothes to spring/summer clothes earlier this week! It was a BIG job- and one that I always find to be a tad bit overwhelming...but- every time I caught myself getting crabby- I made myself stop and look at the ridiculous amount of clothes my kids have and said a prayer of thankfulness :) A large amount of the clothing my kids have is because of my SUPER generous sister-in-law- she gives us all of the clothes her son and daughter have outgrown and it is such a huge blessing!! And now everyone's closets are full of bright, cheerful sundresses and fun t-shirts. It was such a GOOD feeling to get that task COMPLETED!
THREE
So- I have been trying to keep my nails painted lately. It is definitely something I go through in spurts- I will be really good about painting my nails for a couple of months- and then I just stop. Well- I decided a couple of weeks ago- to start painting them again :) And my favorite nail color for spring and summer is Essie's Mod Square. It is just the perfect shade of bright- but not too bright- pink. Definitely my FAVORITE nail color for the warm weather months!
FOUR
Well...I am 39 weeks (and 2 days) pregnant- not that I am counting or anything- HA! and we are just patiently- but VERY excitedly- awaiting Baby #5's arrival! I saw my doctor yesterday and I wish I had something fun to report- but all I can say is that the baby is very comfy- and doesn't appear to have plans to greet the outside world any time in the next week! HA!
We are definitely ready to go- we have been for awhile :) One of the things I am most excited about is the outfits the kids are going to wear to the hospital when they come to meet their new little brother or sister! When James was born, I had "Big Sis" shirts made for my girls by Kristen- check out her Etsy shop (I just checked- it is closed for a short break- but she will be back in the next couple of weeks)- she is AMAZING! Anyway- for this baby- I asked my mom to add some ruffles to the girls' Big Sis shirts so they could wear them again- but have them be a bit different and extra special. I am completely OBSESSED with how cute they turned out! As you can see, my mom is so awesome and such a talented seamstress! And of course Big Bro James needed a shirt- so I had Kristen make him one :) Seeing their shirts all lined up just makes me so excited for when they get to meet their new little brother or sister!! EEKK!! :)
FIVE
And last but not least...I am pretty happy about the fact that my FAVORITE guy and I get to go on a little morning date tomorrow! Our wonderful friends insisted we go out one more time, just the two of us, before the baby arrives- so we thought a fun, morning date would be perfect! Honestly- we really don't have plans- but I am thinking we will grab a coffee and go on a really nice long walk. The walk will serve a dual purpose: 1) I love holding my husband's hand and going on long walks with him AND 2) If it happens to encourage the baby to want to make his/her grand appearance...then so be it! HA! Either way- I am super excited about being outside in the sunshine, drinking some coffee and hanging out with my love :)

I hope you have the BEST Friday and a WONDERFUL weekend!

Weekly Walmart Finds: Fun "Look-Alike" Earrings!

Wednesday, April 20, 2016

Hi!! Happy Wednesday!!!

So- the other day, I had to return a few things at Walmart and once I was done- I had about 15 minutes before I needed to pick up my daughter from preschool...so naturally James and I meandered over to the jewelry section and I was so excited when I saw these earrings!!
Now I know they aren't EXACT look-alikes- but don't they strongly resemble these Kendra Scott Danielle Earrings?!?

They had multiple colors in these earrings- and these "pearl" and "gold" combination really caught my eye!!
Here is the Kendra Scott version of these earrings- and obviously- there are some distinct differences between the Walmart version and the original Kendra Scott earring. But still- I think they are similar and might be a great option if you aren't interested in buying a higher end pair of earrings!
My Walmart had several colors in these earrings- but this pink and "silver" combination was my absolute favorite!! I can see myself wearing these all summer!!
And just because I love to compare- here is the Kendra Scott version of this "pink" earring!
So here is the deal on these fun earrings:
1) They are THREE DOLLARS (Kendra Scott earrings start at about $50 and go up to around $70 for a pair). YUP. They sure are!
2) They come in a lot of different colors. Most of the earrings are set in a gold tone- but a couple of them are set in a silver tone- which I loved- because I typically only wear white gold/silver jewelry.
3) They are nice and lightweight- which is great if you have sensitive ears and most "dangly" earrings bother you!

Now- here's my disclaimer: I do not own a pair of Kendra Scott earrings- so I can't really make a true comparison of what I think the Walmart earrings look like side by side a pair of Kendra Scott earrings. I know SO MANY people who love their Kendra Scott earrings- my friend Leigh is one of them!! I also know that when you find a pair of earrings you love- it can definitely be worth it to pay a higher price for them!!

I just thought these earrings were really fun, perfect for summer, had the "look" of the Kendra Scott earrings and might be just what you are looking for as far as a fun pair of earrings to add to your collection!
I know for me- I am in a season of life where it just doesn't really make sense to wear pricey earrings- so I love the idea that I can get such a pretty earring- for such a crazy, inexpensive price!

Sooo...what do you think?? Are you going to stop by your Walmart and see if they carry these earrings?? I think I may just have to pop in and pick up that pink and silver pair- they are just screaming "SPRING" to me!! :)

And just in case you aren't a fan of dangly earrings- check out my post on these Kate Spade look-alike earrings Walmart has! My Walmart still currently has a TON of these in stock!!

Hope you have the BEST day!!

Tuesday Talk!

Tuesday, April 19, 2016

Hi!! Happy Tuesday :) I hope you had a great Monday and your week is off to a great start!

So- I think if you talk to most moms and/or dads- one of the common things that come up is how "there just never seems to be enough time!" Life is BUSY! Work, school, taking care of kids, making time for fun and some relaxing...well..it can be A LOT!

When Aaron went back to school- we knew we would have to make several sacrifices so that he could be successful and have the amount of time he needed to study. Time as a family was one of those sacrifices. Due to the sheer volume of material he needed to cover- much of his weekends were spent studying. When it came time for us to hang out as a family- the LAST thing we wanted to do was spend 2-3 hours running errands, getting things like toilet paper, shampoo, diapers, etc.

And while I definitely have never minded going to the store with all of my kids by myself (I was just at Target last week buying lawn chairs, with all 4 kids and my huge 38.5 week pregnant belly :) - it's never been my favorite way to spend my time- HA!

I promise I am getting somewhere with this seemingly long anecdote :)

Anyway- one way we figured out we could really streamline our time spent on the weekends at stores like Walmart and Target- is to order EVERYTHING online!
Yes! With the exception of our food- I order everything we need for the month online!

I do most of our shopping on Walmart.com because their prices are the most affordable, we get extra points through our credit card for shopping with them and if you spend $50 or more- shipping is free.
At the end of every month- I take inventory of what we need and make a list.
Then I go Walmart.com and start "filling up my cart."
I like to do my shopping at the end of the month- for the next month- because shipping usually takes about 7-10 days- and I like to have our items ready to go for the new month.
We got our order from Walmart a couple of weeks ago and here is what it looked like!
As you can see- I really do order EVERYTHING. I get our shampoo, conditioner, lotion, toothpaste, laundry detergent, napkins, paper towels- you name it!
It all gets delivered right to my front door!
Walmart does an excellent job of packing up toiletries-especially liquid items- they tape them shut and they are all packaged in heavy duty ziploc bags!
So- we get all of our household items/toiletries from Walmart.com.
I get my baby wipes from Target- because they are my favorite :)
I have them on a monthly subscription and once a month 2 boxes show up at my door. So easy! And because I am signed up for a subscription- I get another discount on top of their already affordable price!

And finally- we get our diapers delivered from Amazon Prime!
We use cloth diapers about 85% of the time- but we do use disposable diapers for when we are out and about and will definitely be using them more in the first couple of months with Baby #5. Aaron and I are all about finding the best price for everything- and the best deal we have found on diapers is the Luvs brand, using the subscribe and save option on Amazon Prime. We also really love Up and Up diapers (Target brand)- but getting the Luvs diapers off of Amazon is cheaper- so that is what we use!
Every other month- we get a couple huge boxes of diapers delivered to our doorstep. It's so easy to change your subscription- whether you need something sooner or you need to change the quantity of the item.
Aside from diapers- we order stuff all the time off of Amazon Prime! We always price check the item we are purchasing- because sometimes it is cheaper to pick it up at Walmart or Target- but most of the time- the price is the same- AND I don't have to go to the store to pick it up. LOVE THAT.
I also love using Amazon prime for sending gifts- shipping things from the post office has gotten SO expensive!! It is so nice to be able to pick out a gift and send it right to one of my friend's, brother's or mom's house- without having to go to the store OR the post office!
Since Aaron started his residency a year and a half ago, our "free time" has continued to be just as limited as it was when he was in school, due to his work schedule AND the fact that we have more kids now- which makes a couple hour trip to Walmart not the most FUN way to spend a Saturday afternoon- HA! So- we have continued to do almost all of shopping online and it really works SO well for us!
Now don't get me wrong- we still have to go and pick up a few items throughout the month at the store- whether that be poster board for one of the girls- or maybe I forgot to order hairspray and I have run out. But I would say OVERALL- all of our shopping (aside from groceries) is done online.
It has not only freed up so much time for our family to be doing FUN things together, versus running boring errands, it has really helped us stick to our monthly budget! It is so EASY to get distracted and put things you don't need in your cart when you are shopping in the actual store. With getting all of our items online- I am much better about sticking strictly to what we NEED.

So- I would love to know- do you do a lot of online shopping? Is it mostly for clothing- or do you get your household items online too?

Hope you have the BEST day!!

Sunshine and A Simple Meal Plan!

Monday, April 18, 2016

Hi!! Happy Monday!

How was your weekend??
Oh.My.Goodness- here in Indianapolis it was absolutely GORGEOUS!!
It got up close to 80 degrees on both Saturday and Sunday and we ended up blowing up our backyard pool on Sunday so the kids could splash around!
I am a TOTAL warm weather girl- and the sunshine we got this weekend was just what I needed to re-charge my batteries for the next couple of weeks until Baby #5 arrives!

On Saturday, we had some of our great friends over for what we like to call a "family playdate." Our friends have (almost) 5 year old quadruplets- 2 boys and 2 girls- and our kids LOVE them! So- about once a month- we get together on a Saturday morning, get a bunch of donuts and fruit and hang out for a few hours. Aaron and I LOVE our friends- so we have just as great of a time hanging out with them as our kids do hanging out with the quadruplets!! Of course- I took NO pictures of the kids playing- but to me- that's the sign of a good playdate- too busy having fun to take pictures! HA!

On Sunday- the girls wanted to get a picture of how many more days we have left until the baby's due date- 10 more- just in case you were wondering! HA!
Sunday afternoon, Aaron and James built a step for the kids to use to get up to our trampoline. James LOVES to help Aaron- his favorite "job" is using the measuring tape :)
While they were busy doing that- the girls and I went to the Dollar Tree to get some cards. I needed to pick up a few sympathy cards, a thank you card and some mother's day cards- the Dollar Tree is my favorite place to get them!! You CANNOT beat $1 for a very nice card- especially if you go to the card aisle at Target or Walmart they can cost as much as $5?!?
Just FYI- our Dollar Tree had the PRETTIEST handmade Mother's Day cards- I picked up one for my mom and for Aaron's mom- $1 each!

The kids all played in our backyard pool up until dinner time and then it was time for showers, bible story and bedtime! PHEW!
And now it's Monday- back to school, back to work- and oh yeah- waiting on baby #5's arrival- HA!
Not gonna lie- I am feeling REALLY huge, moving pretty darn slow and just having to take things a lot easier than I normally do.

So while I am still planning out our dinners for the week- they are VERY simple and require very little prep work. But hey- dinner is getting on the table every night and that's all that really matters! HA!

Here's what is on our menu plan for this week:
Hope you have the BEST day and a WONDERFUL week!
