Tuesday Talk: Still Here!! :)

Hi friends!!

How are you???

I am still here!! HA!
It has just been a little crazy lately....we move in NINE DAYS!!!

So- here's what's been going on the last couple of weeks...

2 weekends ago- we went to visit my mom and dad for the last time before we move to North Carolina. We had such a fun time and of course, it was very bittersweet! We know we will see my parents again- hopefully sooner rather than later- but it won't be the same as being 3.5 hours away from them like we are now!
Last week- the girls had a going away party and we had 12 girls over at our house for an afternoon of jumping on the trampoline, playing in the back yard splash pool and they got to make epic ice cream sundaes ;)
It was a super fun afternoon and the girls LOVED having their friends over to play one last time. I was barely standing by the time they all left. HA!
Aaron left last Friday for a super quick trip to Greenville to check on our house and bring a load of stuff down. We are moving ourselves- and all of our things won't fit in our U-Haul moving truck. So he rented a big cargo van, packed EVERY SQUARE INCH of it and rented a storage unit close to our new house for a month. Not the most ideal situation- but it's what had to be done!
He sent me all sorts of pictures when he was at our new house and OMG. It's SOOO pretty!!!!
(that little red heart is covering up our house number :)
He said everything looks wonderful and that I am just going to love it!! I seriously can't wait to get there and see it all in person!!
Here's a sneak peek of our kitchen....our oven/microwave still need to be installed (that's what you see on the left side of the picture) as well as our refrigerator....but isn't it FABULOUS?? I can't believe that's my kitchen!! HA!
While Aaron was in North Carolina, the kids and I traveled to Southern Illinois on Saturday to visit my sister, her husband and my niece and nephew! It was a big trip to take with the kids by myself- with potty breaks- it's a solid 5.5 hour trip. But we made it! And we had such a great time! We stayed in a hotel and my niece and nephew spent the night with us. So- I had 7 kids in a hotel room with me- and you know what- they did SO great! We enjoyed a super yummy breakfast at the hotel on Sunday morning, then after dropping my niece and nephew back off at their house- we started our trek home. The kids did awesome in the car and I was just SO proud of them!
(FYI: If you are traveling through Southern Illinois- I can't recommend the Holiday Inn Express in Marion, Illinois enough. It was EXTREMELY clean, the staff is amazing and the breakfast they provided is AMAZING! Highly recommend!!)

On our way home- we stopped off to use the restroom at a random gas station and realized we were in Marshall, Indiana!
It was SO bright outside- so the kids could barely open their eyes- but I had to document where we were in honor of our precious little Marshall! :)
And now we have officially started our moving countdown :)
The thing is- despite our house being in complete shambles, moving boxes everywhere and SO not organized...completely opposite of how I normally keep my house- life is just moving right along. It has to when you have 5 little people to take care of every day! Aaron is still working (his residency graduation dinner is this Friday!!! And his last day is next Tuesday!!) and the kids and I are spending our days at the pool, going to the gym, taking trips to the library and just having fun! Boxes are getting packed at night once they are all in bed :) It's really the only time of day we can get any work done :)

So...that's what we have been up to lately!! Life is full, crazy and so good!

What's been going on with you??
Tell me! I would love to know!! :)
