Hello Monday!!
Hey friends!!!
Happy Monday!
How was your weekend?
Our's was good...it was pretty low key- which was nice!
We always grab pizza from Little Caesar's or Dominos on Friday night and the kids have a "pizza picnic" and watch a movie. I truly look forward to Friday night all week long because it's the one night I don't cook! HA!
Well...we were at Walmart earlier in the week and the girls saw pizza dough and begged me to make homemade pizzas for our pizza night. Of course I had to say yes!! (even though a part of me didn't want to because I REALLY love no cooking pizza night! HA!)
This pre-made dough was in the refrigerated section by the bagged salads at our Walmart and it is only $1 for a 1 pound bag of pizza dough!!! And it's really good!
So all the kids made their own pizzas and we actually made them on the grill and they turned out SO yummy!
Saturday morning Aaron and I moved our quiet prayer and bible time outside and it was DELIGHTFUL. We drank our coffee, watched the sunrise and it truly felt like we were on vacation...for like an hour. HA! It was definitely a highlight of the weekend for us :)
It's been super hot here in Eastern North Carolina...which I actually LOVE. Summer is my absolute FAVORITE time of the year :) We've been spending lots of time in our pool and it's always so fun when Aaron's home on the weekend and we can swim together as a family!!
And yes- Marshall is wearing a long sleeve shirt in this picture despite the fact it was 87 degrees outside. HA! He had gotten out of the pool and said he was "cold," went inside, changed his clothes and came back out in a long sleeve shirt and sweatpants.
And then was back in the pool within a matter of 5 minutes! HA!
I didn't really plan out a menu for this week because the kids and I are in Raleigh for the next couple of days visiting family! And then later in the week, family is going to be visiting us and I just plan on doing takeout to make things easy!
I do need to have a plan for dinner one night this week and we are going to have grilled turkey tenderloin with some roasted potatoes and grilled veggies.
We have been LOVING the McCormick Grill Mates marinades- our favorites are the mesquite flavor and the garlic, herb and wine flavor!
And finally,
I just wanted to leave with these scripture verses from Hebrew Chapter 10:24-25..
"And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another- and all the more as you see the Day approaching."
It's a new week friend. I am praying we are all starting this week with a new perspective on things, with a renewed conviction for areas in our hearts where change needs to happen and for the Holy Spirit do work in us and guide us to be gentle in our speech and our actions. God made us for EACH OTHER. Let's lead with love and quiet any of the noise that doesn't have that focus at it's core.
Hope you have the BEST day!
I love Fridays for the same reason in our house, haha! It looks like you guys had a beautiful weekend!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great weekend! Have fun visiting family!
ReplyDeleteGrilled tenderloin!?! That sounds delicious! I've got to give that a try this summer. Hope you have a fabulous week. Your backyard looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteI love grilled pizza; we just added that to our weekly menu yesterday when I saw an old post of mine about making homemade pizzas on the grill. I know it sounds a bit weird but I am often inspired looking through some of my old posts. LOL.
ReplyDeleteI need to try the Grill Mates. Looks like an easy dinner. Have a good time visiting family.
