Thoughts for Thursday!

Hi friends!! Happy Thursday!!

How has your week been going?? If you are a Cubs fan...I bet you are feeling pretty happy today!! SO fun they won the World Series!!

Sooo....I don't know about you- but my kids got SO MUCH CANDY from Trick-or-Treating. And they LOVE eating it. And they kind of become obsessed with asking Aaron or me if they can "just have ONE piece- PUH-LEASE???"  HA!
I was so excited to find out from my neighbor, that her dentist collects Halloween candy and sends it overseas to our U.S. Troops!  There is an actual program called, "Halloween Candy Buy Back"- you can click HERE and found a local business- usually dental offices- in your town that is participating in this program!! We let each of our kid pick out 15 pieces of candy- which is PLENTY- and we donated the rest. We told the kids what we were doing and they LOVED the idea that their candy was going to make someone else smile :)

I wanted to share a little "Weekly Walmart Find" with you- look at these CUTE jammies!!!
I found these in the kids' section- so they are available in baby sizes up to 5T.
I checked the older kids' area and they did not have them :(

UM. How cute is this Holiday print???
Look at these!!! You could get these monogrammed with each of your kids' names- love that they work for girls and boys- and they would be PERFECT!
I loved these heart jammies for the little girls!! UGH.
I wish my girls were all still in toddler sizes!!

So guess what?? These jammies are $4.97!!!
Isn't that awesome?? If you are getting together with extended family over the holidays- how fun would it be to get all the kiddos matching jammies?? At $4.97 a set- if you wanted to get the striped pair for everyone and get their name monogrammed on them- it would still be super affordable! I am personally obsessed with the red Christmas print and definitely think James and Marshall need a pair of those!!

Okay- one more thing to share :) I follow @becomingjolie on Instagram and a few weeks ago- she shared her favorite way to do an at home manicure. She uses Seche Vite for her topcoat- which I already do- if you have never tried Seche Vite- you MUST. It is amazing and so affordable- you can find it HERE. What she does- that I have never tried- is uses a BASE coat. She recommended THIS ONE by Orly. So- of course I ordered it and OMG. It is amazing!! I have totally been able to tell a difference in how long my manicure has been able to last- which is about 8-9 days!! That is saying A LOT too- because I am ROUGH on my hands!
So- I use the Orly base coat, whatever color nail polish I am in the mood for (I have noticed between using the Orly base coat and the Seche Vite top coat, that I can get away with using "cheaper" nail polishes") and then top off my nails with the Seche Vite top coat
Do you already use the Orly base coat?? Definitely let me know if you end up trying it out and what you think of it!!

Hope you have the BEST day!

Linking up with Annie and Natalie!

  1. Those Christmas Pj's are adorable! I went to WalMart the other day and they sadly didn't have the Minnie shirts, but I was able to find some Disney shirts on clearance at JcPenney for $2.99!
I love the nailpolish tip! I will have to try it =)

  2. What cute PJ's. I am going to try the top coat and base coat. I paint my nails almost twice a week because of chips and such and I have heard nothing but great things about the top coat. Great tips. Have a good day!

  3. Those Christmas pjs are so cute!! I can't justify spending $20-30 a pair on holiday pjs + a monogram, but $5 a pair sounds amazing!! I'll have to check out my local Wal-Mart to see what options we have. You know I love a good matchy pjs picture :) Thanks for the heads up!
