What I am Loving Wednesday!

Hey friends!!
Happy Wednesday!!
How is your week going so far?!

Just wanted to check in today and share some things I am loving!!

AMAZON FIND
So- it seems like I am in the minority- but I do NOT like ear buds. They hurt my inner ear and I can't wear them when I work out because I sweat so much. HA! Gross but true.
Since I have been using the Peloton app to workout, I have needed some bluetooth earphones to use. Aaron found these bluetooth over the ear headphones for me and I LOVE THEM! They totally stay put while I work out, I don't even feel like I am wearing anything and they work GREAT. I am so NOT into technology- but this whole wireless bluetooth headphone situation is pretty delightful! HA! These would be a great gift or stocking stuffer for someone, if they are like me and don't like actual earbuds!
You can find them HERE on Amazon!

RECENT WALMART PURCHASE
A couple weeks ago I picked up this 3 piece suit set for the boys to wear to Christmas Eve mass. I am in LOVE with the Christmas plaid button shirt and the little denim colored sport coat!! This is $24.97- which is just under $8.50 for each piece! Such a steal!! You can find the set HERE! They have several other cute options if you just search "Wonder Nation Boy Suit!"
FOOD FOR THOUGHT
I read this post by one my favorite people on Instagram and was just nodding my head the whole time. You can read it HERE. I LOVE everything she has to say about how life giving going for a daily walk is for her. I feel the exact same way about exercising every day. It is an act of GRATITUDE for the healthy, strong body I have been gifted. And it is such a gift to ME! I am a better person when I have moved my body. I think it is such a crucial mind set shift to move from looking at exercise/daily movement as a "have to" versus "I get to."
And I can't think of a better way to keep centered and decompress during the holiday season than going for a jog, a brisk walk or "gifting" yourself a 1/2 hour at the gym to work up a sweat!
IN THE KITCHEN
Last year I didn't make a ton of Christmas cookies...which is a big change for me. I just wasn't feeling it! Taking the year "off" from baking has left me feeling excited and ready to make some yummy treats this month! I am currently trying to narrow down what I plan on baking. I am definitely going to make simple sugar cookies (I use the sugar cookie mix from Aldi and put homemade cream cheese icing on them), "cowboy" cookies with Christmas M&M's on top- you can find that recipe HERE! I am definitely going to make Pioneer Woman's triple chocolate cookies- these will be a new addition to what I normally make and I am thinking about maybe adding some Andes mint chips to some of them to make them a minty chocolate chip cookie!!

Do you do a lot of baking at Christmas?? If you need inspiration for yummy recipes- you should check out my friend Whitney's blog. She is ALWAYS making something delicious and she has the best ideas for ways to bless your loved ones with yummy meals and treats!!

Okay friends! That's all I have for today!!

I'd love it if you would share something you are "loving" in the comments!!!
It's always so fun to hear about what is making other people happy!

Hope you have the BEST day!

  1. You know I love my daily walk! Those headphones look great. I have small ears and ear buds literally don't stay in my ears. This would be a nice option. Have a wonderful Wednesday!

  2. I might give those headphones a try! I can't stand anything in my ears either.
I am loving seeing my neighbors put up their Christmas lights and driving through the neighborhood each night on my way home:)

  4. Those headphones look awesome! I agree - ear buds hurt my ears, too. Must be the shape of our ears :) I've struggled recently to fit daily walks into my routine with it getting dark early and having a kiddo who isn't a huge fan of the drop in temps. I've been debating getting a treadmill for home as an option when the weather isn't ideal. We have very limited gym options with childcare so I'm trying to get creative. I have big plans of baking and giving away lots of cut out sugar cookies this year! I can't wait :) Hoping to maybe do that next week.
