Friday Favorites!

Hey friends!!!
Happy Friday!!!

How was your week?? Did it feel long even though it was shorter because of the holiday??
Or did it fly by??
Our's was kind of a combo of both. HA!

It's Friday, so here's some fun, FAVORITES I wanted to share from this past week!!!

//ONE//
We're getting our family pictures taken tomorrow, so last Saturday the girls and I went out to find me a dress to wear.
We went to the cutest store, Francesca's and the SWEETEST sales associates pick me out a bunch of things to wear.
You can see the girls had a HORRIBLE time tagging along with me HA!
We had the best time shopping and I found a dress! YAY!
Shopping with these girls, while it is a bit crazy, is one of my FAVORITE things to do.
I pray everyday that I have MANY years of shopping trips with these 3 girls- they are truly my FAVORITE people!!

Sunday afternoon...the kids were super tired, cranky and it was ridiculously hot outside. I knew I needed to do something to change the vibe in our house....so I made a fun snack mix, put down a quilt and turned on one of the kids' favorite bible story shows.
I popped some popcorn, and then added cheddar "penguin" crackers (from Aldi) and some honey nut cheerios. The kids loved it and declared it their new FAVORITE snack!
I have to tell you- I was taken over by such gratefulness in the moment I looked at all of them eating their snack and watching their show. Just a couple minutes prior to that everyone was whining and crying and it was NOT fun. But, as it always does...things settled down. I just felt so grateful to have them on piled up in our living room...together. I know the years of them all being home is SO short and the grand scheme of things and I don't want to miss a minute of it (even the whiny, super challenging moments)!

I am not ready for summer to be over....BUT I have started using pumpkin spice creamer in my coffee...because it is JUST.SO.GOOD.
I follow a dairy free diet- so this creamer is my FAVORITE! It's expensive- but it's one of those little things that I splurge on because I love it so much!
You can find Nutpods creamer HERE on Amazon!

I always like to make a yummy dessert on Sunday...so this past weekend I tried out this recipe for Half Pound Sprinkle Cookies!
I did not measure mine out to be a 1/2 pound...but I made them pretty big!! My whole family LOVED them and they were super simple to make! Definitely a new FAVORITE in our house!!
//FIVE//
Hello Weekend. YAY! During the school year, Saturday and Sunday are definitely my FAVORITE days of the week. We've got a lot planned over the next few days...Aaron and I are going out for a quick dinner and then to a church event tonight, tomorrow morning we have our family pictures (insert me sweating and acting like a psycho to MAYBE get one or two "good" pictures. HA!), and on Sunday afternoon we're running a 5k! I also need to find time to grocery shop and make lunches and do laundry. Looks like I won't be sleeping much this weekend! HA!
Hope you have a FABULOUS Friday and a WONDERFUL weekend!!

  2. Have a great weekend. It sounds like you have a lot of fun things planned. Those cookies look delish! I am going to try that recipe. I feel like we have to cram in a lot of things on the weekends during the school year, but I do love Saturday and Sunday and being home with my family. Happy Friday!

  4. So many fun things!! I'll have to give that snack mix and those sprinkle cookies a try for my kids. Hope family pictures went great today. Someone else just recommended Francesca's to me for cute clothes. I'll have to check them out. Dressing rooms with kids is no joke! I always consider it a work out haha I'm hoping to do family pictures this Fall so we'll be set for Christmas cards. You're ahead of the game! Enjoy your fun weekend plans :)
