Tuesday Talk: Christmas Decor!

Hi friends! Happy Tuesday!!

Well...I missed the party last week when a lot of people linked up with Andrea for her Christmas Decor Show and Tell Tuesday Link Up...but I am going to join in on the fun a week late and show you some of our Christmas decorations!

I didn't do a ton of decorating this year...I actually put up all of our decorations the weekend before I had my surgery- because I knew I wouldn't be up to it afterwards! Even though we don't have multiple trees up and not every room is covered in CHRISTMAS- it feels festive and cozy- which is just what I love the most about Christmas decorations! :)

This is the mantle in our living room...super simple..but festive! I love my silver, glittery cone trees I got from the Target dollar spot last year!
The kids' stockings are handmade by my mom and I absolutely LOVE them!!
So- our Christmas tree is a hot mess. HA! I strung some different colored beads on the tree- but then let the kids totally decorate it themselves. There are huge clumps of ornaments bunched together, most of the ornaments are handmade and there is absolutely no "theme" to our tree :) And despite the fact that James is constantly ripping ornaments off the tree and then throwing them back on the tree- (he thinks they are just going to magically stay- HA!)...I think this might be one of my favorite trees we've ever had!!
My beautiful, vintage nativity scene given to me by my beloved Grandmother :)
My favorite shelves! I love decorating them for the different seasons and holidays!
My sweet sister-in-law got us our Advent calendar several years ago. It's one of the girls' favorite traditions!
LOVE my Christmas pillows for the couch! Some are from Thirty-One and some are from Walmart!
And our hot mess of a tree all lit up at night!!
And that's it! Nothing major...but our house definitely feels cozy, festive and Christmasy!

Don't forget next week,
Johannah from The Sirois FamilyBeth from Our Pretty Little GirlsStephanie from Wife Mommy Me and Heather from My Glittery Heart and I will be sharing all about the Christmas ornaments we love the most on our Christmas trees on Tuesday, December 20!!

We would absolutely LOVE if you would join us and link up!
One of my favorite things is to see how other people decorate for the holidays- especially their Christmas trees!! We are so excited for everyone to post some beautiful pictures of their favorite ornaments and tell us a little "back story" on why those ornaments are so special!
I hope you have the BEST day!! :)

Okay- now it's time to link up with my favorite ladies for Tuesday Talk!

And your tree...I think it's absolutely perfect! As much as we can try to make our tree look perfect, let's face it, we have kids and they love to touch it! All too soon they will be grown up and we will miss them messing with it!! ha! =)

  3. Thanks friend! And I couldn't agree more-Christmas is definitely for kids and The joy that it brings them to see the tree they decorated every morning and how they beg to turn the lights on is priceless! Hope you have a great day too!!

  4. Everything looks great!! I love those stockings from your mom. That's such a sweet tradition for her to make them for you all. Our Christmas tree is always under attack and seems to look a little different every day. Olive hasn't quite mastered the rehanging part so I end up putting ornaments back on at the end of the day. I love your Christmas pillows, too! Hope you're getting some snow today :)

  5. Everything looks beautiful & I love the tree your kids decorated. I have the same nativity scene and it was given to me by my grandmother too! Its my most prized Christmas decoration. It was lost one year and I was so upset. Thankfully, my hubby searched every box in the attic until it was found! Merry Christmas :)

  6. I totally agree...cozy is the best part of Christmas decor! I ordered those cute Walmart pillows and forgot about them until last week when I received an email cancellation because I never made it to pick them up!!

  9. Our tree is all kinds of messy too. I keep adding ornaments on that I've been gifted, we've made or whatever and it's not as organized as it once way.
