Thoughts for Thursday: Random Ramblings...
Hi friends!! Happy Thursday!!
Sooooo....I just have a bunch of randomness to share today.
I highly recommend grabbing a cup of coffee or hot tea to go with these ramblings. HA!
- My little James is one of kind and is absolutely NUTS (and totally adorable). Because of his extra "spirit" I have started using the time we are in the car, driving to and from my daughters' school as my time to "work." I save all my phone calls I need to make until we are all packed up in the car because it is the only time he is quiet and sitting still! HA! I have also started taking an extra 5 minutes once we get home from dropping the girls off at school in the morning and will keep our van parked in the driveway, let him continue to watch his show and I will put on my makeup! My neighbors must think I am a nut- but seriously- I ck...do not get a whole lot accomplished with my precious little James underfoot. HA!
- I just went through all my clothes and filled up two shopping bags worth of items I don't wear anymore. I didn't have a lot of clothes to begin with- but now I REALLY don't. And I love it! I have my "go-to" items I wear all the time and that's all I need! There's a lot of things I like to spend money on...but clothing for myself is not one of them. Now...shopping for my kids...specifically my daughters??? Well...that's a completely different story. HA!
- I am completely obsessed with our precious baby Marshall. OMG. I can't even convey to you how stinking cute he is!!! I know I am his mom- so I might be a bit partial- but seriously- he is the happiest, most easy going, squishy, perfect little baby. I am so, so thankful for him!!
He is sitting up, playing with toys, squawking and trying to crawl. He is super chunky and has the most beautiful smile. My girls fight over who gets to hold him all day, EVERY day.
He is definitely the fan favorite at our house!!
- This past weekend I went to Ulta with my girls and my friend. It was such a weird experience. 1) There was a lady there with her daughter or granddaughter (I couldn't really figure out their relationship! HA!) and her teenage daughter and she was talking SOOO loud. And it seemed like everywhere we went...she was right there, looking at the same items. She was nice...but SO loud. And she kept looking at me like she wanted me to join in on her conversation! HA! 2) I have NEVER seen a longer line at Ulta than I did last Saturday. Like- I waited at least 20 minutes to check out. Even the sales girls were commenting that they didn't know what the heck was going on. 3) Wouldn't you know it- guess who ended up RIGHT behind me in line. Yes. Super loud-talker. Needless to say- I was very happy and relieved once it was my turn to check out! HA!
- I just recently got cleared to start working out again..and I went to the gym for the first time in 7 weeks on Tuesday. It felt SO good to be back in the gym! It was also extremely humbling....I am soo out of shape!! It's going to be awhile before I get my groove back! Ha!
Well...that's all the randomness I've got for you today :)
Anything random you want to share?? Tell me in the comments!
Hope you have the BEST day!!

Oh my gosh....how weird was the loud talker?? and annoying!! HA
ReplyDeleteOh sweet James! I can remember doing things like sitting in the car in the driveway with Ian! He was everywhere and into everything! In the car, just like James...quiet and watched movies! HA
He's still a busy body and touches EVERYTHING! HE's 12! HA
everything I see Marshall's pictures I want to just squeeze him!! I love chunky babies!!
Happy Thursday!!
I think you are a genius for using your time in the car to get things done when James is "strapped in." I think the toddler days are the toughest...they are mobile and want to be independent, but really don't understand any rules or safety boundaries yet. I'm sure he keeps you on your toes. :)
ReplyDeleteSo I've decided that James is my Alyx!! Haha Busy Busy Busy!!!
ReplyDeleteI haven't been into Ulta in a while, so I think I need to go. How funny about the loud lady there!
I hope you have a great day!!
You're so smart to make the most of your car time! My kids never nap at the same time and the other day they both fell asleep after we ran errands. You better believe I parked my car and got to work - made phone calls, sent emails and got lots done in the quiet. I bet it was nice to do your makeup without anyone touching you haha #momlife. My closet could use an overhaul. I have only the things that fit well and that I like to wear hanging now, but I still have boxes of clothes to go through and get rid of. That'll be a good project for this year. Hope you're having a great day! It's stormy here so we aren't leaving the house :)
ReplyDeleteI have only been into an Ulta once....which is weird, right? I really need to up my cosmetics game, I am such a drugstore/big box makeup person. Also, you have never been more my friend than to be a little "overwhelmed" by a loud talker. I don't get it...we don't need to all join in on your experience. :) I still do all of my phone talking in the car and I don't have toddlers anymore! Thank goodness for hands free systems in the car, there just isn't time to make a call once I get home.
ReplyDeleteRandomness is the best kind of post in my opinion!! I LOOOOVE a good clothes purge! Always makes me feel like I've got it all together, haha. And I'm quickly learning about the amount of clothes with daughters. Goodness...it's alot.
