What Peter Cottontail is Bringing to Our House!
I am linking up today with Darci for her Easter Basket Blog Hop!
I LOVE everything about Easter. I have my kids' outfits all ready to go for church on Sunday and their Easter treats for their baskets are tucked away and ready for the Easter Bunny to hide on Saturday night! Our tradition is that the Easter Bunny hides the kids' baskets and after we get back from church Easter morning, the kids get to search for their baskets! It is so fun and the girls are still talking about where the Easter Bunny hid their baskets last year!
My girls LOVE themselves some candy :) Reese's peanut butter cups are by far their favorite :) I also got some mini candy bars because they fit perfectly inside plastic eggs :) My girls aren't huge fans of Peeps, but I always had a row of Peeps in my Easter Basket...so the tradition will continue! :)
I always get the same items for the girls' Easter Baskets. They get a new "Spring/Summer" outfit, a new pair of flip flops/sandals and a new swim suit. I also get them a big bubble wand and some bubble bath- both of which I need to still pick up at the store...probably should get on that! HA!
I got everything pictured below at Wal Mart...some items in the store and some I ordered online!
Here is my oldest daughter's basket!
My second oldest daughter's basket!
My youngest daughter's basket!
And my precious baby James' basket! My mom and I went to Hobby Lobby looking for an Easter Basket for James last week and I just couldn't find anything I liked! She mentioned she still had my oldest brother's Easter Basket (he is 39!!) and said I should text him and ask him if I could have it for James! Of course, my brother said "yes!" I plan on adding some blue, gingham ribbon to it...I just haven't had a chance to pick it up from the store yet. I am so excited my baby boy has his Uncle Mike's Easter basket! James is getting some new pool shoes, a pair of shorts and a new swimsuit in his Easter basket. I will probably throw some fruit pouches and puffs in there too...just so it looks a little "fuller." HA!
So that is what the Easter Bunny is bringing to our house....what is he bringing to your's??
Do you put the same items in your kids' baskets each year...or switch it up?
Hope you have a wonderful day!
CHEERS to candy and swimsuits!! I should have ordered some trunks for my little guy for his basket too.... very cute idea! And I'm with you, have to have some candy in those baskets! :)
ReplyDeleteOMG I love these bright colors! Your kiddos will love the baskets I'm sure of it!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by Brooke! Shopping for Easter baskets treats is always so much fun for me! :)
DeleteI love that you hide the baskets for them to find after church! I was trying to think through what we are going to do as far as when we give them their baskets. We usually are out of town for Easter so we have yet to develop a solid tradition. Maybe we will have to borrow yours. Happy Easter!
ReplyDeleteHi Cat! Growing up- we would find our baskets before church..but we like waiting until after. Our focus is on the main reason for Easter and the kids have an extra incentive to mind their manners at Mass! Ha!
DeleteThe baskets are so sweet and I love the ribbons. Also, LOVE that you give practical gifts ... we are doing the same with Camille's! She is getting a swim diaper, a sippy cup, some puffs, and a few more little items!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun link-up! Love the baskets and summer stuff! Happy Easter!!
