Tuesday Talk!
Hi friends!! Happy Tuesday!
Soooo....I have a question for you today!
As I was headed to the gym this morning, I was thinking about how late I was up last night...and how early it was as I thought about how much I would rather be sipping a cup of coffee than getting on a treadmill ;)
Then, I started to think- am I what you would consider a "night owl" or an "early bird?"
Yes. These are the deep thoughts that run through my mind at 5:30 am.
HA!
Naturally, as I was pondering these deep thoughts, I started wondering about all of you and what you would consider yourself- a night owl? an early bird? neither??
I think I am a mix of both.
Especially since we have moved, I have been staying up pretty late. I usually go to bed between 10:30 (that's "early") and 12:30. I am up NO later than 5:45- but most days I am pouring my first cup of coffee by 5:15 am.
And you know what? Even with me staying up late-ish and waking up fairly early....I still don't feel like there are enough hours in the day to get everything done!
Please tell me I am not the only one who feels this way?!?!
But you know what? It's all good :) Because what needs to get done- always does get done...and what doesn't...goes on my list for the next day. Rinse, wash, repeat ;)
Ok- so now it's your turn- when are your best "working" hours?
Somedays- I wish I could pull an all nighter like I used to in graduate school...but also feel totally rested when morning comes around. I know. I am living in a dream world. HA!
Hope you have the BEST day!
Now...just a few things to remember for the Tuesday Talk link-up:

I used to hate getting up early, but I never stayed up late either. I like my sleep. Now I'm an early bird since I work 9 hour days. I like to get there and get home at a decent hour. Then I get to work at home. I have a daily chart of things I'm supposed to clean; doesn't always happen though! Then I can barely stay up past nine. I wish I could stretch my day a little bit longer. Guess I'll have to add in some coffee!
ReplyDeleteI am an early bird but I like staying up until about 10 to watch a TV show and just relax for a bit but I get up around 4:30ish each morning. I feel like you, there are not enough hours but somehow it all gets done. Maddi (my daughter) would stay up all night if I would let her and sleep most of the day while my son is the opposite.
ReplyDeleteI am an early bird for sure. During the school year (I'm a teacher), I wake up at 5 every day and get to work around 6:45.
ReplyDeleteI bet it's SOOO nice to get to work that early and have such a quiet, peaceful classroom before the crazy starts!!
DeleteI need about 5 more hours added to each day. I could do so much more with an additional 5 hours.
ReplyDeleteI'm a total night owl, but I don't have to be up until 7:00am so I get 6-7 good hours per night. I love the quiet alone time in my house after 10pm.
ReplyDeleteI have four kids and there are definitely not enough hours in the day to get everything done! Obviously, I'm a night owl, considering I'm reading blogs at 2:00 AM, but I still don't sleep much. I'll head to bed around 3 AM and get up around 8. I'm TRYING to become a morning person, but I always have to stay up late to work!
ReplyDeleteIt's such a hard balance!! So much of what we need to get done as moms is just easier once the kiddos are asleep!!
DeleteI'm a morning person all the way! I want to fall asleep at about 9:00 some nights. 😊
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely a night owl!! I get so much done between 9-1am. It's so quiet in my house that I just get busy. I try to watch a show, work on some projects, do some blog work, etc. I always debate becoming a morning person and maybe i'll switch when my kids are older and heading off to school. For now, team night owl always wins :)
