Show and Tell Tuesday!

Hi! Happy Tuesday!!
Today is a fun day- I am linking up with Andrea from Momfessionals for Show and Tell Tuesday!
Today's topic is "Show us your yards!"

Well....I am going to be up front, and let you know- you aren't really going to see much of anything going on in our yard.  HA!  We are renting our house, so we have decided to not put any work or money into landscaping the yard.  With that being said, my husband does a great job maintaining the landscaping the house came with and always makes sure the grass is cut and looks super nice.

We actually have a HUGE fenced in back yard and are so thankful our kids have a place to run around and play.

So, despite our actual yard being pretty standard, there are still a couple of fun spots that I wanted to share with you today!

I don't know if this really counts as our yard, but I am still going to write about it because it is my favorite part of the "outside" portion of our house- our front porch!
I have said it before and I can't help but brag on him again...my husband is AWESOME.  He is a very talented, self taught fix-it and do-it-yourself type of guy.  Whenever I have an idea- i just show him what I want made and he takes it from there.  And he does it on a super tight budget too!  Anyway...I will stop talking about Aaron for now- HA!

Aaron and my two older daughters made me the bench for Mother's Day!
Aaron made the American Flag for me this past weekend using scrap wood in our garage.  You guys- he painted it for me too- including the stars!!
Last fall my one of my favorite friends posted a picture of a "Welcome" sign on Instagram and I LOVED it!  She gave me the details on how she made it and I passed those details onto Aaron :)

I made our wreath last year and just change out the bow with decor that goes with the current season.  I really love how everything came together and it always makes me so happy when I drive up to our house and see our cute porch!! :)
Onto our backyard!  We really wish we had a nice big deck or patio- but we don't...so we just keep our chairs set up a little bit away from the patio.  They are nothing special...so they don't get a picture taken of them :)

The BEST part about our backyard is this amazing "castle" (that's what my girls like to call it) Aaron built just a few weeks ago!! He took a week off of work (his first week off of work in a year) and decided he needed a project to do.  UM YEAH.  If I was on vacation from work- building a massive wooden playscape from scratch would not be high on my list- HA!
Here is the finished product (minus our slide- which we ordered and hasn't arrived yet)!!
The girls love eating at the their picnic table under their "castle!"
The slide will go in the opening closest to the ladder.  We can't wait for it to get here!
I know I might be partial...but I think Aaron did an amazing job building this playground.  When he first started the project and came home from Home Depot with an enormous pile of wood...I was definitely skeptical! HA! Like always though...he took a bunch a boards and turned them into something amazing!  The girls LOVE their new "castle" and I love that their Daddy made it just for them!
So there you have it...our yard is pretty plain jane as far as landscaping goes...but we have definitely added touches that make it feel like home to us!
We feel so fortunate to live in such a lovely, spacious and most importantly safe home!!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have the best Tuesday!!!
