Friday Favorites!

Hi!! Happy Friday!!
How has your week been?? I don't even know how it happened, but our week flew by!
We have a fun, busy weekend ahead of us.  Early tomorrow morning, we are going to be a part of our church's HUGE Thanksgiving Food Basket ministry (our church donates over 1,000 food baskets!!!) and deliver some Thanksgiving food baskets to some special families in our community.  Then we are dropping our kiddos off at our friends' house and Aaron and I are going out for a couple hours! YAY!  Sunday, we will go to church and hit the grocery store AND I am hoping to put up the kids' playroom Christmas tree!

Okay- now time for some fun! Here are some things that made me smile this past week!!

ONE
I had an OB appointment this week and got to hear our precious baby's heartbeat!  Is that not the BEST sound ever?? The baby was bouncing around and his/her heartbeat was nice and strong.  In just a couple weeks, we will have our anatomy ultrasound (we don't find out the gender though:) and I can NOT wait to see our sweet baby up close!! You might think that with this being my 5th pregnancy, things might not be as exciting- but that is SO not the case! Not only am I excited and loving this pregnancy journey (I am finally feeling GREAT now!), my kids (and of course my hubby) are ELATED we are having a baby and always asking "what is the baby doing in my tummy?" or "what size is the baby now mommy?" Its all just so awesome and such a MIRACLE!

TWO
At the end of October, I did a post on my favorite top for Fall and Winter. You can find it here!

In my humble opinion, this "leisure tunic" is the best top EVER.  It is soft, feels like a sweatshirt, but doesn't look like one, covers your booty so you can wear it with jeans or leggings, it comes in all sorts of colors and in "sweater" like material- it is THE BEST. I own 3 and totally plan to add more to my collection :)
Well....here is where it gets exciting for this pregnant momma- there is a maternity version of the best tunic ever!!!  I ordered a black one and a beautiful, dark teal color- Target is calling it "night magic."  So- basically I will be living in those two tops until the end of April of next year! I am seriously so excited to have found a top that not only looks good- but is COMFY!

THREE
My friend Leigh did a fun post a couple days ago about crazy "National Days." Guess what today is??? National Peanut Butter Fudge Day!! Um. YES PLEASE :)
In honor of National Peanut Butter Fudge Day, I wanted to share with you my FAVORITE smoothie, that tastes like a chocolate peanut butter fudge milkshake- but is actually good for you and doesn't have any milk in it! :)
To make one generous sized smoothie, you will need: 4 ice cubes, 2 tablespoons baking cocoa, 2 spoonfuls of peanut butter (or almond butter would work too!), 1/2 of a FROZEN banana, and about 3/4 to 1 cup of almond milk (for the non-dairy option) or skim milk- if your smoothie seems too thick- just add more milk! I also used 2 packets of Stevia in my smoothie- because I wanted it on the sweeter side. You could use a couple teaspoons of real sugar, Splenda, honey- just use your preferred sweetner! :)
Blend up all the ingredients in your blender and get ready to have the yummiest, guilt free treat- all in honor of National Peanut Butter Fudge Day! :)
FOUR
I have found new FAVORITE lotion scent for the winter! I was in Bath and Body Works a couple weeks ago and had a "free item" coupon, so on a whim I picked up a body lotion in the scent, Jingle All the Way. I LOVE it!  I don't know how to really describe how it smells- but trust me- it is LOVELY :)  The fun part is that my girls LOVE the way it smells too! They ask me to put some "polar bear" lotion on them every night after their showers :)  I am going to get them each a travel size of it for their stockings so they have their own "grown up" lotion!  If you happen to be at Bath and Body Works this weekend, check it out and see what you think!

I just got a coupon in the mail yesterday for Bath and Body Works, so I'll have to check out that scent. Emma loves their lotions, so that is a good idea to get the travel size for her stocking =)

  2. I always love to hear about a good OB appointment! And I was really excited to see that that tunic is from Target. I totally thought when I clicked on it I'd find out it was too expensive but for that price I think I'll be making a purchase this morning. Thanks for the recommendation and happy weekend!
