Friday Favorites!

Hi!! Happy Friday! This week was kind of a weird week for me!
The girls had Monday off because of Easter and Aaron took off Tuesday from work- I am such a creature of habit- because even though I loved having time with my kids and my husband- I spent almost every day this week wondering what day it was and what exactly i needed to be doing! HA!

How was your week?? I sure hope it was a good one!
It's FRI-YAY and that mean's it time to share some FAVORITE moments from this past week!
ONE
Definitely one of the best moments from this past week was celebrating Easter!!
We had absolutely gorgeous weather, our church service was beautiful, the Easter Bunny visited the night before and hid the kids' baskets all around our house, we had an Easter egg hunt in our backyard, we made a bunny cake...it was just a GREAT DAY. Easter has always been one of my FAVORITE holidays- and since having kids- it has become even more fun and special!

TWO
On Tuesday, Aaron and I celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary!! Earlier this week, I wrote a little post about the last 8 years and some things we have learned along the way- you can check it out HERE! Aaron took the day off of work (which is pretty unheard of around these parts- HA!) and we dropped our 3 girls off at school and James went to spend the morning with a good friend of mine. We went to breakfast at a really cute cafe and then ran a few errands. It was SO fun to have the whole morning to spend with him!! He is definitely my FAVORITE person in the whole world- so thankful for him, our marriage and our fun morning together!
THREE
This week I hit my 36th week of pregnancy with Baby #5! Woohoo!! While I don't consider myself to be in the "homestretch" until 39 weeks...the end is definitely in sight! As with all of my pregnancies, I have felt great and have loved being pregnant this time around!
BUT- with only one month to go until I have the baby, the fact I have 4 other kiddos I am taking care of, one of them being a VERY spirited 20 month old baby boy and that this baby seems to be quite LARGE- momma is hurting :) Just being real here :)
I am forcing myself to slow down and really having to be "okay" with not everything getting done...which is such a great lesson for a person like me who typically likes to move at 100 MPH all day long :) This is our last baby and instead of focusing on the aches and pains I am experiencing currently- I am being mindful and GRATEFUL for every little kick and bump  I feel. We are so grateful I have had such a healthy pregnancy and are just SO excited to meet our new little baby!!
Any guesses on what I am having?? I have absolutely NO clue. Everyone always asks me if I have some sort of "intuition" and I don't!! My husband and oldest daughter think we're having a boy and my other 2 daughters think we are having a girl :) James has no clue- HA!
FOUR
I got a fun little package in the mail this week! I am not sure how I stumbled upon them- but I was on Nordstrom.com and found these Reef flip flops- on sale for $10.41!!! I have mentioned several times before that I am completely obsessed with Reefs and they are the only brand of flip flop I wear. I absolutely did NOT need a new pair- but $10 is a TOTAL steal AND they had my weird size (I wear a 10.5 or 11- I KNOW. I have huge feet!) and I just said, "What the heck!?" and bought them. They are super simple- they will be great pool/beach flip flops and of course- ridiculously comfortable. If you have never owned a pair of Reefs- I urge you try a pair out this summer!! They are pricier than your average pair of flip flops from Old Navy- but they are worth every penny!! Hands down- they are my FAVORITE shoe in my whole closet!
FIVE
We all pretty excited at our house, because once I pick up Charlotte from school this afternoon- we are officially on SPRING BREAK!!! We are looking forward to a week of not having a set time to wake up in the morning AND being able to do lots of fun things we just don't get to do when the girls are in school! I am also really happy that I am going to get in some extra time with the kids before the baby is born- it is kind of like our final "HURRAH" as a family of 6! I have a special, fun activity planned out for everyday next week and the girls are saying that we are going on a "staycation." They're so cute :)
We are kicking off Spring Break by taking a tour of the hospital where I will be delivering tomorrow. I am just going to take the girls (my appointment time is during James' nap- and we DON'T mess around with that- HA!) and you would think I am taking them to Disney World. They are SO excited. Living life through the view of my kids is seriously so amazing. They make me stop and appreciate SO many things I normally wouldn't!!
Here's to a week "off" and getting to hang out with my FAVORITE little people!

Hope you have the BEST day and that you have a wonderful weekend!

  2. How gorgeous are you! You look amazing! I thought you said in your last post you had no cute outfits to share? I spotted a couple in this post :). Have a great spring break week! I hope you will share with us all the fun activities you have planned for the kids. We are on break this week and it has been fantastic. We have been playing outside a ton and visited an indoor playground yesterday. Tonight I think we are going to do a bonfire and roast hot dogs and marshmallows. So fun :)
