Tuesday Talk: Things I Can't Live Without: Volume 2!

Hi!! Happy Tuesday!
Hope your week is off to a great start!

About a month ago, I shared about 4 things "I Can't Live Without." They were totally random items and it was very melodramatic of me to say I can't "live without them." HA!
But I had such a fun time writing that post- and lately I have come across more things I really love and use on a daily basis- so I came up with Volume 2 of "Things I Can't Live Without."

//1// Aquaphor: My lips are ALWAYS chapped. And I have really bad eczema. And I have a baby (and soon will have TWO!) who wears diapers. I use my Aquaphor at least 5 times per day. I keep a smaller tube in my purse- it is my go-to for my always dry lips, if the kids get a scrape- I will put some on before I put a bandaid on and like I mentioned- it is great to treat sensitive baby skin that might get irritated by a diaper. During the winter, I use it on my face on areas that get extra dry and irritated. It is SO NOT a glamorous beauty product- but man- do I LOVE it (and use it all the time)!!!

//2// My 32 ounce Nalgene water bottle: I am not a huge fan of water. I KNOW. So not healthy. I would rather drink Diet Sprite/lemonade spritzers all day long. HA! Buuuttt...since that is not the healthiest way for me to hydrate- my 32 ounce Nalgene water bottle has really helped me drink the water I need to throughout the day. Just like my big tub of Aquaphor- my Nalgene isn't the most glamorous or cute water bottle out there (these Swell bottles seem to be all the rage lately!)- but I love that it has a lid that closes super tight, it fits in my cup holder in my van and that it holds 32 ounces of water. Also- it is pretty much indestructible. I just got a new one after having my first (and only) Nalgene water bottle for 12 years! My goal is to fill up my Nalgene 3 times a day- which equals 96 ounces of water a day. If you are a non-fan of water like me- that amount of water seems like A LOT- but for some reason- when I "portion" it out- it seems easier and I never really have a problem getting in my daily quota of water!

//3// The Wet Brush: I have a HUGE amount of hair. Currently it is quite long and it is extremely thick and wavy. I also have 3 little girls- two of which who have quite long hair. Since I am a grown up :) I have always just put up with battling through my ridiculous mane of hair- but my girls are a different story :) Let's just say after showers and in the morning before school have not always been pleasant :) Enter the WET BRUSH. A friend of mine who is a hair stylist told me about this brush about 2 years ago and I am SO THANKFUL she did! It has been a game changer when it comes to brushing hair in our house. I have one that I keep in my bathroom and this past Christmas, the girls each got a mini Wet brush. I have no idea why it works the way it does- but it is SO easy to brush through tangled, knotty hair- whether it is wet or dry! We use our wet brushes, everyday, in the morning and at night time- and absolutely LOVE them!

//4// The Shark Hand Vac: I love my kids SO, SO much. Seriously. They are the best. But- man- they are SO MESSY. Like it is incredible to me how big of a mess 4 little people can make- just by having a quick, afternoon snack! HA! Enter my best friend, the Shark Cordless Hand-Held Vacuum. I have had this vacuum for about 6 years now and it gets used at least 3-4 times a day, EVERY DAY. It is perfect for cleaning up the messes James can make in a matter of 2.2 seconds, it is amazing for getting in all the crevices in my kitchen that when I sweep I can't get to and seriously- every time I use it- I think- "I LOVE this thing!" I also love to use it for quick clean-ups in my van. It is not as powerful as a shop-vac- but it definitely does an awesome job of sucking up all the animal crackers and pretzels James leaves behind in his car seat :)

And there you have it- Round 2 of every day items that "I Can't Live Without!"

What are some things YOU can't live without?? I would love to hear about them!

Hope you have the BEST day!!

  1. I as well cannot live without the wetbrush! It has been a lifesaver with the girls, especially Emma. I'm not sure what it is that makes it so good, but it's just that...amazing!
I really need to get a hand held vacuum. It's such a pain lugging the big vacuum out every time one of the girls spills something on the floor. I'm glad to see you recommend the shark!
I cannot live without Clorox wipes! I buy them in bulk at SAMS, and I am always using them =)
    Have a great Tuesday, Justine!

    1. I LOVE Clorox wipes!! I didn't think to look for them at Sam's but I am going to the next time I am there! they are perfect for quick counter clean-ups or if you need to wipe down the bathroom sink in between cleanings! And yes- you should definitely look into the shark hand vac- we LOVE our's and it is a fraction of the price of some of the other brands!

  7. Great list! I love that lotion and keep it in my car so I can put on lotion while I wait :) I never thought about using it on kids - smart thinking! I also love having a good water bottle. I love to drink out of a straw so mine has a built in straw, but I try to do the same thing - fill it 3-4 times a day.
