Friday Favorites!

Hi! Happy Friday!!

How has your week been?? Our's has been pretty great! The weather just keeps getting warmer, the sun is shining and honestly- that just makes EVERYTHING seem better!
I had my 38 week check-up for Baby #5 yesterday and my doctor told me "I had a lot of work to do" in reference to the progress I have made so far. SOOO...YEAH. Lots of walks are going to be happening for me in the next couple weeks! HA!

It's Friday- definitely one of my FAVORITE days of the week- so it is only appropriate I share some of my FAVORITES with you! :)

ONE
First- I just wanted to say THANK YOU to all of you who commented on my post this past Tuesday about what mascara I need to be using! I LOVED getting everyone's opinions- and after SEVERAL ladies recommended L'Oreal's Voluminous mascara- I promptly picked some up! I have only used it a couple of times- but I LOVE the brush and am so far really happy with how it makes my lashes look!

TWO
Last week, while my kids were on spring break, one of the "fun" activities we did was create some original artwork for Baby #5's room! The kids each painted a canvas and they all turned out SO good! Seeing my girls and even James get super creative and SO excited about their paintings was definitely a FAVORITE moment for me!
THREE
I plan on doing a post on Baby #5's nursery once it is totally finished (we're just waiting on a print we want to hang over the crib)- but I had to share a sneak peek of the kids' artwork!! Didn't it turn out SO cute?? My husband made the frames and I am just totally OBSESSED with how fun and special the kids' paintings look on the wall!! New baby's room has quickly turned into our whole family's FAVORITE room of the house! It is such a bright, cheerful place! Now we just need a squishy little baby to put in it!! :)
FOUR
Speaking of the new baby- I washed a load of blankets/burp cloths using this baby laundry detergent and oh.my.goodness. I can't get over the precious, sweet smell!! This is the first time I have bought a "baby" detergent- I have always just used a "free and clear" detergent with all of our baby stuff- so I am not used to the heavenly smell that comes with baby detergent. Anyway- it is my new FAVORITE smell and I can't wait to wash all of the new baby's clothes in it once he/she arrives!!
FIVE
Yesterday was absolutely beautiful and I finally spruced up my wreath for spring. I made this burlap wreath about a year ago and I just change out the flowers/decor according to the season. Sooo...anyway...I thought the wreath needed a little something in addition to the flowers- so my husband made me the "L." He sanded it in various places- so it looks really cool and "worn." I love how it turned out!!
It might be my new FAVORITE "look" for my wreath!
Here's my question for all of you- do you like the "L" where I put it? Or should I attach it kind of in the middle of the flowers? Or put it below the flowers? Let me know what you think!!
I LOVE hearing your thoughts!

I hope you have the BEST Friday and a WONDERFUL weekend!

  3. The kids artwork - what an AMAZING idea!! I love it - such great color and a perfect collection for your sweet baby to come home to! I like the L were you have it, I think it balances out the wreath...why am I always so far behind on decorating, I still have winter centerpieces out - just trying to vacuum and clean sheets is enough for me right now!!

  6. That art work is the cutest!! I love those yellow frames and I'd imagine your littles will be thrilled every time they go in the nursery and see their handiwork. Good job for including them and coming up with such a sweet project - that family portrait is adorable. Glad you've had a wonderful week. Looks like the weather should be perfect for all those walks :)
