Friday Favorites!

Hi!!! Happy Friday!
My oldest daugther summed it up perfectly the other day when she said, "I can't believe how fast April is flying by!" Seriously!!! How can it be that May is less than 2 weeks away?!?
No complaining over here- I am the HAPPIEST when it is warm and sunny and the days are long...I am SO glad for spring to officially be here and summer to be juuussssttt around the corner!

How was your week? Our's was good! It was pretty low-key and I really relish those kinds of weeks :)

Being that it's Friday (YAY!), it's time to share some FAVORITES of mine from this past week!

ONE
I know a lot you love dry shampoo just as much as I do! I mean- how can you not love a hair product that let's you prolong the whole process of washing/drying/styling your hair for a few more days?!? I ran out of my current bottle of "Not Your Mother's Clean Freak Dry Shampoo" a couple weeks ago and had heard good things about Dove's Dry Shampoo...so I picked this bottle up at Walmart the last time I was there. I LOVE it! I have yet to use it and get the funky, white residue some dry shampoos will leave on your scalp. I like the smell of it as well! If you are looking for a new dry shampoo- I would definitely recommend giving this one a try!
TWO
So- the weather has gotten considerably warmer here in the Indianapolis area and with the impending arrival of Baby #5- I decided to bite the bullet and change over all of the kids' closets from fall/winter clothes to spring/summer clothes earlier this week! It was a BIG job- and one that I always find to be a tad bit overwhelming...but- every time I caught myself getting crabby- I made myself stop and look at the ridiculous amount of clothes my kids have and said a prayer of thankfulness :) A large amount of the clothing my kids have is because of my SUPER generous sister-in-law- she gives us all of the clothes her son and daughter have outgrown and it is such a huge blessing!! And now everyone's closets are full of bright, cheerful sundresses and fun t-shirts. It was such a GOOD feeling to get that task COMPLETED!
THREE
So- I have been trying to keep my nails painted lately. It is definitely something I go through in spurts- I will be really good about painting my nails for a couple of months- and then I just stop. Well- I decided a couple of weeks ago- to start painting them again :) And my favorite nail color for spring and summer is Essie's Mod Square. It is just the perfect shade of bright- but not too bright- pink. Definitely my FAVORITE nail color for the warm weather months!
FOUR
Well...I am 39 weeks (and 2 days) pregnant- not that I am counting or anything- HA! and we are just patiently- but VERY excitedly- awaiting Baby #5's arrival! I saw my doctor yesterday and I wish I had something fun to report- but all I can say is that the baby is very comfy- and doesn't appear to have plans to greet the outside world any time in the next week! HA!
We are definitely ready to go- we have been for awhile :) One of the things I am most excited about is the outfits the kids are going to wear to the hospital when they come to meet their new little brother or sister! When James was born, I had "Big Sis" shirts made for my girls by Kristen- check out her Etsy shop (I just checked- it is closed for a short break- but she will be back in the next couple of weeks)- she is AMAZING! Anyway- for this baby- I asked my mom to add some ruffles to the girls' Big Sis shirts so they could wear them again- but have them be a bit different and extra special. I am completely OBSESSED with how cute they turned out! As you can see, my mom is so awesome and such a talented seamstress! And of course Big Bro James needed a shirt- so I had Kristen make him one :) Seeing their shirts all lined up just makes me so excited for when they get to meet their new little brother or sister!! EEKK!! :)
FIVE
And last but not least...I am pretty happy about the fact that my FAVORITE guy and I get to go on a little morning date tomorrow! Our wonderful friends insisted we go out one more time, just the two of us, before the baby arrives- so we thought a fun, morning date would be perfect! Honestly- we really don't have plans- but I am thinking we will grab a coffee and go on a really nice long walk. The walk will serve a dual purpose: 1) I love holding my husband's hand and going on long walks with him AND 2) If it happens to encourage the baby to want to make his/her grand appearance...then so be it! HA! Either way- I am super excited about being outside in the sunshine, drinking some coffee and hanging out with my love :)

I hope you have the BEST Friday and a WONDERFUL weekend!

LOVE the ruffles! I switched out Cash's closet, too, but being in WI I had to keep a few sweatshirts at his level. haha!

    ENJOY your date!

  4. oooh, love that nail color! I figured out I paint my nails approximately 8 times/year. ;) Between my kiddos and cooking/cleaning, I have a hard time getting it to last longer than a couple days!

  6. Counting down the days with you! I hope your morning walk got things moving along! The kids' shirts are adorable, and I love the ruffles. I learned all about dry shampoo while I lived in England. Here in the US I think it is just catching on. But over there the dry shampoo section of the store is almost as big as the shampoo section. Have a good weekend!

  8. Um, that saying is THE CUTEST. Love it. Thanks for the tip on the dry shampoo - I've been using the Bumble and Bumble powder, but spray-on is just so darn handy!

  9. What a great week!! Love that polish color and I'm going to have to give that Dove dry shampoo a try. Your big sister & brother shirts turned out so cute. I can't wait to see a picture of everyone at the hospital wearing them. I'm guessing baby #5 will be a boy :) I'll be stalking your blog to see when he makes his big debut!!
