What's Up Wednesday!

So...it is the last Wednesday of the month...which means it is time for another What's Up Wednesday Post! I am joining MelShay and Sheaffer for their super fun link up party!

What we're eating this week...Simple, prepped ahead meals are what is being served at our house this week! Tacos, Italian Sub Sandwiches, Turkey Burgers on the grill, and grilled chicken breast plus steamed veggies is what we are eating. And you can bet if the weather allows it- we will be eating outside!! I am ALL about having little to no clean up to do in the kitchen!! :)

What I'm reminiscing about...Well with today being Baby #5's due date...I have been thinking a lot about the past 10 months and how FAST it has gone by and yet how slow at times it has felt. Totally how it goes when you are waiting in excited anticipation for something, right!?!? I can honestly say though- it has been a wonderful past 10 months and I am SO thankful to have had such a healthy, uneventful pregnancy!!
So-I feel incredibly vain for posting this many pictures of myself...but it is kind of fun to see just how much the "bump" has grown!
What I am loving....the precious, fun stage my oldest daughter is currently in :) She is 7 1/2 years old and I had NO idea just how fun it would be to have a child this age!! She is very independent and is a HUGE help with her sisters and brother. She is super smart and we have SO many great conversations. She is very interested in the "how's" and "why's" of things...but is still extremely innocent and very much a little girl. Just the other day she came home and told me that her friend had some pixie dust delivered to her house by Tinkerbell :) She asked me if I thought Tinkerbell would come to our house if she wrote her a note...and I said- "well- it's worth a try!" :) Talk about PRECIOUS!!!
So she wrote Tinkerbell a note as well as left her a little parting gift in the way of a red "jewel." She was beside herself with excitement when she woke up this morning and saw that Tinkerbell had dropped off a baggie of blue sparkle pixie dust- AND- Tinkerbell wrote her a note ;) If I could just bottle her up- right where she is right now- I would!! :)
What we've been up to...We have been soaking up EVERY minute of the gorgeous spring weather that has blessed the Indianapolis area!! We are definitely "outside" people and the most happy when we can be outside playing. We are super lucky to have a huge backyard with a big playscape (Aaron designed and built it himself!!) and a trampoline. The kids pretty much live out here as long at the weather permits :)
What I'm dreading...Not a darn thing!

What I'm excited about...Well. DUH. Having Baby #5 would be at the top of "Things I am Excited About" HA! I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow and I am hopeful things are moving in the direction of having a baby sooner than later!! :)

I am also excited to be teaming up with Erica and Leigh for our monthly link up – Pinspiration Wednesday!  Our next link up is Wednesday, May 4 - which is next week! Our topic for May is: Getting Bathing Suit Ready! We would love it if you would link up with us and share your favorite healthy recipes, workouts and even motivational quotes related to health and fitness that you have found by "pinning" on Pinterest!
What I am watching/reading...
Okay. So Aaron and I JUST jumped on the Netflix bandwagon this past month and I am in LOVE!!
We don't have cable- and my favorite show is House Hunters. All the heart eyes for Netflix and all of their episodes of House Hunters!! We are also super excited about all the kids' shows they have. My girls have been in heaven with all the My Little Pony and Sofia shows that Aaron put in their "account!"
What I am listening to...I have recently just started listening to some Podcasts...The Happy Hour with Jamie Ivey is a current favorite of mine! I like to put one on while I am folding laundry or making dinner! I am also loving the Matt Wertz station on Pandora and we are always listening to Daddy's very vibrant mix of hip-rop, country and pop songs! HA!

What I'm wearing...I mean- I don't want to keep talking about being pregnant- HELLO REDUNDANT- BUT- I am literally wearing the same 3 shirts and 2 pair of pants that fit me. HA! I am SO ready for a little more variety in my wardrobe!!! :)

What I'm doing this weekend...Um...well...I am REALLY hoping that I am in the hospital this weekend- holding my new baby!! But- if that is not the case- there is a festival going on at a local airport by us and it seems like it would be the perfect thing to take the kids to for a couple of hours! I just love this time of year when there are so many community, outdoor activities to go to on the weekend!

What I'm looking forward to next month...Next month is going to be BUSY! We will have a newborn, my daughter Celine is celebrating her 4th birthday, and it is my girls' last month of school!! There will be a lot of activities we will be attending- but it will be so much fun! I am SO excited for summer break! The outdoor pool at our YMCA opens on Memorial Day Weekend- and you can bet- if the weather is warm enough- we will be there opening day!! :)

What else is new...Nothing really! Just enjoying being where we are RIGHT NOW :)

BONUS QUESTION: What is My Favorite Mother's Day Gift to Receive or Give?
So- I LOVE to do themes for my mom's Mother's Day gift. I have done a "garden" theme before and several "relaxing/bath" themes- as that is one of my mom's favorite ways to unwind. This year- I got her a "big" gift- and then a basket full of things that I hope make her smile :) As far as Mother's Day presents for me....well.....the ULTIMATE gift would be to have our house professionally cleaned while I was away getting a massage, facial, pedicure and manicure. HA! Sounds amazing doesn't it?? :) That is definitely NOT happening this year- or for SEVERAL more years to come...but maybe some day! ;) Really- what I love on Mother's Day is to go to church with my family, get at least ONE GOOD picture with my kids and have Aaron do all the cooking and cleaning up afterwards. And I definitely love spending time outside. If my kids were to get me a gift- the best thing they could give me is a day without any whining, tantrums, tattling or meltdowns- HA!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today!! I hope you have the BEST day!!

Netflix! Ohh I could give you a list of shows. Fixer Upper is the first on my list!
The pixie dust is seriously the cutest thing ever. Don't you wish you could keep them at the age they are at! Emma is 9, but i'm telling you, she is a super young 9. A lot of her friends act so much older than she does, and I love that she still wants to be a little girl.
I hope you have a fantastic day!!

  8. Love your pregnancy pics, and yes, your hair is to-die-for. Thoughts and prayers are coming your way from Texas for a smooth delivery and healthy baby! I'm glad you are loving Netflix. We are "cutting the cord" when our contract with Direct expires next month and I'm looking forward to one less bill to pay. The pixie dust comments are so sweet. I remember when my kids were that age and made fairy houses in the backyard. They'd leave food and notes for the fairies out there. Such a wonderful age!
