Monday Mish-Mash: Weekly Meal Plan and Some Randomness :)

Hi!! Happy Monday!!
How was your weekend??
Our's was really good!

It was our first full weekend being home together as a family of 7 and it was just so nice to not have to be anywhere! We ventured out a couple of times- but mostly stayed close to home and just played and enjoyed lots of snuggles from Marshall :)

On Saturday, while James, Marshall and Cora took a nap, Aaron and Charlotte went out to run a few errands. It was the perfect opportunity for me to grab some one-on-one time with my little Celine! We decided to the best thing to do with our time was bake some M&M cookies :)
How happy are these cookies?? I just think they are so cheerful AND they tasted super YUMMY!  I just used my classic chocolate chip cookie recipe- but instead of using chocolate chips (which you could always do a mix of chocolate chips and M&Ms)- I substituted M&Ms. And then right when the cookies came out of the oven, I added a few more M&Ms to the top of the cookies- because...you can never have too much chocolate in and on top of your cookies :)
On Sunday, I got to celebrate my first Mother's Day as a mommy of FIVE precious babies. I know it is a little weird to say "babies" - considering I have a 7.5 year old, 5.5 year old and an almost 4 year old- but seriously- for now they are still young enough to where I think I can maybe still get away with it! HA!

I couldn't love this crazy crew any more if I tried.
We had a perfectly imperfect day filled with lots of handmade cards, a lovely breakfast, a couple of my kids calling me "MEAN MOMMY" several times (HA!), a few tears on my part (HELLO post-partum crazy town emotions), a delicious dinner made by my awesome husband and sweet hugs and kisses goodnight. No matter what kind of day we have had- my goal is always for everyone to go to bed happy. Some days that doesn't happen- but last night it did and I felt so ridiculously grateful as I checked on everyone before I went to bed last night.
I was totally spoiled by my husband and kiddos and got some new workout clothes!!
(All from Walmart just in case you were wondering :)
I am LOVING the fun colors and patterns!! So excited to get back to the gym (once I am cleared by my doctor) and wear my new workout outfits!! :)
Speaking of working out- I re-joined Weight Watchers Online for a 3 month membership last night!  I LOVE Weight Watchers and it has always been such a great program for me as I work to get off pregnancy weight. I am SO looking forward to being back on WW!
Just curious- have any of you done Weight Watchers? Any of you currently using the program? Would you be interested in periodic updates how my Weight Watchers journey is going? Like I said, I am a huge fan of the program and would have no problem talking more about it!! :)

And finally...it's Monday- so I thought I would share our meal plan for the week!
My mom and husband took an afternoon last week and stocked our freezer with prepped meals- which makes life SO much easier!! I basically planned our menu around what I knew we had in the freezer!
Do you have your meals planned out for the week? Are you trying out any new recipes?? Or just sticking to the "tried and true" meals you know your family will eat??
Either way- the most important thing is getting everyone around the table to eat together! Some days, at our house, it is peanut butter sandwiches and carrot sticks and other days it's pasta, salad and garlic bread. In my opinion, the meals don't matter as much as the people who are eating them :)

Hope you have the BEST Monday and a GREAT week!!

  5. What great pictures of your beautiful family! I'm so glad that you had a good Mother's Day. I've tried WW before, but, it was several years ago. I had bo trouble following it during the daytime. My problem was running out of points for my dinner! Lol. I for one, would love to get updates on your progress, especially on your meals. Could you please show the workout clothes from Wallmart with more details. I hate spending too much on them and when I go to Wallmart there's so much to look through. If you like what you got, please give more details on the names of the workout clothes. Thanks!
