Thoughts for Thursday: To Cut or Not to Cut?!?

Hi friends!! Happy Thursday!!

Sooo...I need your help today :)
This upcoming Tuesday I have a hair appointment to get a cut and high-lights...and I am feeling like I am ready for a change.

But...then I get all nervous nelly and think- no- I just need to keep my hair long...it's easier to take care of!
Then- I think- no- it would be fun to have a new hair style and I used to have a shorter hair cut and I loved it!
And these are the thoughts that bounce around in my head all day long....HA!

So- you get to help me decide!

Here's some inspiration pictures I have found...

I could continue to grow my hair out and just get a bunch of long layers cut...I love this look and I am very comfortable styling my long hair with a curling iron and/or my ancient hot rollers :)
This hair length is almost identical to how long my hair is right now...I really like the layered look. I have layers in my hair right now- but I feel like they are all concentrated on the bottom half of my hair. I would want to get layers cut up pretty high to create some better "dimension."
Or....I could chop off several inches and get a style like this??
I feel like this is a good length because it is shorter and different than my current style- but I can still pull it up in a pony tail- which is pretty crucial for me with working out every day.
I also really like this "right-at-the-shoulder-length" style...but my hubby is not a huge fan of shoulder length hair. He says- he either likes it LONG or SHORT. Not in between. HA!
If I really wanted to go short- I like this hair style A LOT (and I love Anne Hathaway!)
I know it might sound silly- but one hesitation I have with a shorter hair cut is that I feel like it makes my face look "fuller" versus when I wear my hair longer..I feel like it gives me face a "slimmer" look. I know I am a freak. Just had to get that out there! HA!
Ok!! Now it's your turn!! PLEASE tell me what you think I should do!!
I really value Aaron's opinion...and when I asked him if I should cut my hair or leave it long, he responded with, "I like it both ways. Do what you want babe."
THANKS for your help honey. BIG HELP. HA!

Hope you have the BEST day!!

Linking up with Annie and Natalie today!

  1. Yay for mama time! I think change is fun! The best thing about hair is that it grows back. :) Can't wait to see what you decide!

  2. Last week I went in for a trim and a color and I sat in the chair without thinking and lobbed my hair off. I LOVE it! My hair was long and is thick and I have loved how easy it is now that it is shorter. I thought the same thing about my face, but it hasn't changed because I kept it longer in the front. I say, go for it!

  3. You would look great in either style! I know what you mean about the shorter hair/fuller face...I feel the same way. You definitely would look great either way, but I think your hair is so pretty long the way it is now! I can't wait to see what you pick. :)

  4. I love your hair! My vote would be to keep it long and add more layers!! But I want your hair! I would love to lose some of my curls and just have the "wave" look!!
But I know you will be beautiful either way! Can't wait to see what you decide!

  5. Cut cut cut!!! Hair grows so go for it (says the cosmetologist, ha!)!!!

Thanks for the sweet set of nail polishes! I can't wait to try them on!

  6. So many beautiful options!! You've got great hair and a beautiful face so any of these hair styles would look wonderful. I like the idea of a big change for your year of big changes :) I'd vote for a chop that is still long enough for a pony tail, but something totally different for you. Any of those last three pictures would look amazing. When I had a bob a couple of years ago, I'd pull the top up for workouts instead of a full pony tail. It worked just fine :) It's so good for your hair to chop and regrow and I'm confident that Aaron will love any cut you come home with. Can't wait to see what you decide!

  7. I vote to chop it! You will look gorgeous any way you have it... but like one other said go for the change during this year of changes!!!! And it's just hair... it'll grow back😃!

  8. I think you should cut it enough for it to be a change but something that you can still throw up in a pony when need be.

  9. I've taken the "right at the shoulder" picture (the exact same pic) to my hair dresser and said I want this look just longer and it was my favorite cut and one I've went back to. Your hair is so beautiful that you can't go wrong with any of these cuts. Personally, I like your hair long because you rock a really awesome messy bun.
