Tuesday Talk
Hi friends!! Happy Tuesday!!
I sure hope you had a great weekend and your week is off to a great start!!
Unfortunately, my kiddos have been sick for the past few days- Cora had to stay home on Friday due to a fever (and she had the chills- poor thing!) and by Sunday- Charlotte was down for the count! I kept all 3 of my girls home yesterday- and Celine will be missing school again today because she was the last one to catch whatever Cora got. The boys have been having tummy issues- so there have been A LOT of diaper changes. Needless to say, I have been washing everything in sight and Lysol has become my new best friend! HA!
So- just wanted to share a few things with you today...the first one being the AMAZING customer service I received when I called American Eagle yesterday! I ended up ordering some bras from there and loved them! I ordered a bunch of different sizes, tried them on at home and then sent the ones that didn't fit back- with a FREE pre-paid return shipping label. Easiest bra "shopping" experience ever. Well- after wearing the bras I decided to keep- I realized I needed one band size smaller. But- I wasn't sure if American Eagle would do anything for me since I had already worn the bras. Well- I called them yesterday, spoke with the nicest customer service representative and she told me they have a "no hassle returns and exchanges" policy- and that of course I could exchange them! YAY! She sent me ANOTHER free shipping label, she re-ordered the new size bra I needed at the sale price I bought mine at and shipped them to me for me. I was so impressed. I feel like there are A LOT of companies out there that don't value taking care of their customers- and whenever I have a great experience- I want to share it!
One of my FAVORITE bloggers is April, who writes over at Smidge of This. She is GORGEOUS, super funny and I just love her kind spirit! She posted on Instastories this past weekend that she tried out Lipsense for the first time and is such a believer in the product that she decided to become a distributor for it!! I am SO intrigued by this magical lipstick/gloss combination and CANNOT wait to order some and try it out!!
Have you watched the documentary, "Gleason," yet? Aaron and I watched it a couple months ago- and it was absolutely gut-wrenching and breath-taking- all at the same time. For those of you who don't know, Steve Gleason is a former NFL football player who was diagnosed with ALS at the age of 34. Just a few weeks after receiving his diagnosis, he and his wife found out they were expecting their first child. This documentary is a compilation of video diaries Steve created for his son as well as showing what living with ALS looks like. This documentary is RAW and absolutely incredible and I feel like EVERYONE should see it. Aaron and I were forever changed after watching it.
Today- if you go to Team Gleason's Instagram page- which is HERE- you can go to the link in their profile and donate to the Give NOLA Day. Steve posted and encouraged all 600,000 of his followers to just donate $10 and Team Gleason would automatically raise over $600,000 for ALS. You can bet I will be donating!!
And finally- I had to let you all know about Thirty-One's May Customer Special. If you spend $35- you can get the amazing and ridiculously functional Large Utility Tote for just $10 or the Stand Tall Insert (which is only carried a few times throughout the year!!) for $15!
This is the PERFECT bag for the pool, road trips and for packing up everything you need for a long day at the ball park.
I sure hope you had a great weekend and your week is off to a great start!!

You can shop by going HERE and please let me know if you have any questions!! Just email me! I will say- if you have been wanting to get a Large Utility Tote or a Stand Tall Insert- order them sooner rather than later- because they most likely will sell out in at least a couple of patterns!! :)

Thanks for the movie recommendation! Sorry to hear that the stomach bug has been making the rounds...keep the lysol handy! I have to say i absolutely love my large utility tote. It holds so much stuff but folds flat for storage...it's a great product. Have a terrific Tuesday!
ReplyDeleteHope your kiddos are feeling better soon!
ReplyDeleteThat was awesome customer service from American Eagle!
Love Love my large utility tote! I wish a stand tall insert was made for other bags! HA
Have a great day!
Oh my friend, I hope everyone is back to themselves soon!
ReplyDeleteIs Gleason on Netflix?
I never ever would have thought to look at bras at American Eagle! I'm going to head to their website today!
I'm glad the bras worked for you! Lipsense is AMAZING -I put it on in the AM before work and by night time when I'm washing off my makeup it is still on! I even have to scrub to get it off! Have you seen the "Whoa, wait, Walmart?" Instagram account yet? They post cute Walmart finds. I saw it the other day and thought you would enjoy it:)

Sorry to hear your kids have been sick! That's no fun for anyone. Hope they make a quick recovery. Love all the products you mentioned. I haven't shopped at AE in years, but that is some amazing customer service. I need to do some new bra shopping this summer. I haven't shopped for new ones in years. Sad, but true. Love that flip flop print and I've always been intrigued by Lipsense. I'll have to give it a try this summer. I bet Kevin would enjoy Gleason so it would be a good thing we could watch together. Thanks for the tip.
ReplyDeleteI'll look forward to watching Gleason. I had not heard of it before. Thanks, too, for hosting. Hope all the kiddoes are well by now.
