Tuesday Talk!

Happy Tuesday friends!!!

Soooo....for the 4 of you who read my blog, you might have noticed it's been a week since I last posted. Or maybe you didn't?? HA!

I took a mini-break from posting...because..well...life is just kind of all over the place for us right now!

Obviously- I am in good company with many of you who are also running around like crazy attending ALL THE END OF THE SCHOOL YEAR picnics, concerts, poetry readings...you name it- it's happening this month!

Sidenote- I am assuming most of you have read Jen Hatmaker's blog post from a couple years ago about how she feels about the end of the school year- but if you haven't read it- you MUST go check it out NOW! It's hysterical and could NOT be more true!!
You can find it HERE!

On top of trying to keep all of the girls' school events straight...we're trying to get some packing done ahead of time (since we're moving in 6 weeks!!!)...and when I say "some," I mean a box or two after the kids go to bed...which you can be assured has NOT added up into a whole lot of progress! HA!

And amidst all of the school/moving craziness...we have been doing lots of celebrating!! Marshall turned one almost 2 weeks ago, my oldest daughter made her First Communion this past Sunday and my youngest daughter is having a birthday this upcoming weekend!

Currently life is FULL. And fun. And a little bit messy right now ;)

This pretty much sums it ALL up for me.
HA!
Thanks a bunch for hanging in there with me...I might be in and out the next couple of weeks...but really hope to be back on a more regular basis SOON!
I have so many things I want to write about/share about/talk about!!

Hope you have the BEST day!!

  2. I know you must be so busy right now! Moving is just a crazy time in general. Do you have to pack it all yourselves, or will you have help? I've done it both ways, and it's never easy either way! Hang in there. I miss your blog posts but will look forward to more when you get settled in your new home! :)

  3. I always check your blog daily and wondered where you have been. I know what you mean my calendar is so full this month as well, the last month of school is just crazy and I can't imagine getting ready to move during this time.

  4. I know that you must be crazy busy right now with the move, the house planning, and all the end of the year stuff. May is one of the most overwhelming months there is I think. It is all super fun stuff, but there is just so much going on. Jen Hatmakers post is one of my favorites as a mom and teacher. I laugh every time I read it because I can so relate. We need summer break around here! I love reading your blog and cannot wait for more regular posting once you are settled in. Hang in there, and positive thoughts are coming your way!

  5. I was off all week too while on vacation and all I can say is sometimes life is busy or not and a break is good for the soul. Disconnecting from Blogland is never a bad idea.

  8. Wow, I can't believe you are moving in just 6 weeks. I'm so excited for you!! My husband has two years of residency left and I know you must be anticipating this move with so much excitement. I love following along and hope the next month and a half are full of grace and peace despite the craziness. Xoxo

  10. Girl, as a teacher May is wonderful and awful rolled into one. There is something every day which makes the day a little more exciting and makes the day go by quicker. However, the kids act crazy and it feels like every moment is a juggling act. We are all in survival mode.

  11. I have missed you! It's definitely a crazy time of year. Good job for getting started on your packing now. It's so much better than waiting until the last time. My best packing advice for you is to be REALLY specific when you're labeling boxes. On our move from UT to AR I think about half of our boxes got labeled "home decor" which, as you can imagine, was super helpful when it came time to unpack. haha Hope you're having a great week!!
