Menu Plan Monday!

Happy Monday!!

How was your weekend??  Was the weather in your area beautiful??
It has been absolutely GORGEOUS here in Indianapolis the last couple of weeks and I am not taking a moment of it for granted!  We were at the park yesterday afternoon and it was sunny, perfect blue skies and it was right around 70 degrees :) It was WONDERFUL!
So thankful for this extension of sunshine and warmer temperatures!!
Anyway...Aaron had to work this past weekend, I had a lunch date with one of my friends and our two older girls had a birthday party on Saturday evening. I also got about 7 loads of laundry washed and put away and got everyone's clothes changed over from spring/summer to fall/winter! That was a beast of a job- but I am SO glad it is DONE!

And now we are back to Monday!
I almost didn't post our menu plan for the week because it is really simple.  Like most of the meals I am making don't even require a recipe. But- then I thought to myself...nope- I am going to post it! (1) Because my husband reads this blog and he always likes knowing what we are having for dinner :) (2) I want my menu plan to be an example that feeding your family does NOT have to fancy or complicated.  For me- it is all about having a healthy meal ready to go so our family can sit down together every night! (3) I love Sandra Lee and she is the queen of Semi-Homemade Cooking. She has inspired me to take every short cut available (in the kitchen)!

So here is what is on the menu for us this week!

Monday: Jambalaya with turkey sausage

Tuesday: Crunchy, baked salsa chicken tacos

Wednesday: Baked Pork Tenderloin with roasted brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes

Thursday: Grilled cheese triangles, applesauce and cucumber circles with ranch dipping sauce

Friday: Pizza Picnic!

Saturday: Dinner out!

Sunday: Backyard cookout! Hot dogs on the grill, tater tots and steamed green beans

So....I would love to know- do you menu plan?  If so- do you love to try out new recipes every week or do you stick to "tried and true" meals you know your family enjoys?
Do you sometimes get overwhelmed with getting dinner made every night (I know I do! HA!)
I would love to hear how you about your dinner routine!!

Hope you have the BEST Monday!!

I am linking up with Laura today!

  3. I WISH I could switch out our summer clothes for Fall. It's still in the 90's here in San Diego. I know, I shouldn't complain, but I look good in layers, so really just want to put on a pair of jeans with boots and a nice blanket scarf :-) Love your meal planning posts!
