Tuesday Talk!

Hi!! Happy Tuesday!!

How was your 4th of July weekend?? I sure hope it was fun!!
The weather wasn't the greatest here in Indianapolis...but we still managed to have a great day! We had cinnamon rolls with 4th of July sprinkles for breakfast, played some whiffle ball in the back yard, grilled some super yummy turkey bacon burgers, had an ice cream sundae bar for dessert and stayed up late to light sparklers and watch fireworks in our backyard.
A very low key- but super fun family day celebrating our amazing country!
Soooo...on Sunday- we got home from a 10 day vacation to North Carolina and Virginia Beach, VA!
We drove 12 hours straight on Sunday and I can't tell you how good it felt to get out of our van! HA! If you have ever been on a long road trip with little ones...you know the exact feeling!! :)

I definitely plan on sharing more about our vacation- but today I am SO excited- because it is my first Tuesday being a new host of the Tuesday Talk link-up party!!
It is so fun and special to be in the company of the 12 other fabulous women who host Tuesday Talk and I am just so happy to be a part of such a fun community!

Since some of you might be new to my blog- I thought I would re-introduce myself today and tell you a little bit about my family and me! :)

First things first- I am married to Aaron- we met on Match.com! You can read our fun love story here! :)  We have been married for a little over 8 years.
We have 5 children- 3 little girls and 2 little boys :)
Charlotte is 7 1/2, Cora is 5 1/2, Celine is 4, James is 2 and Marshall is 2 months old!
We live in a suburb of Indianapolis- we have been here for 2 years and have one more to go while my husband finishes his last year of a foot and ankle surgery residency.
I have been a stay at home momma since having James, but prior to that I was working as a pediatric speech language-pathologist. I definitely plan on going back to work once my kids get a little older- but for now- I am LOVING this season of life of being at home with all of my babies (even though several of them aren't really babies anymore- HA!).

Some of my FAVORITE things include: coffee, being outside, pool days with my kids, beauty and makeup products, meandering through my local grocery stores (Aldi is my FAV!), finding deals (Walmart and I have a special relationship- HA!), my husband, exercise, going on adventures with our family, long walks with my mom, wearing my Reef flip flops (they are the COMFIEST) and waking up early to start my day with some uninterrupted quiet time.

Not so FAVORITE things include: bugs, cluttered, dirty spaces, being late, impatience, people who feel like they are better than something or someone and just in general- negative energy. Ain't nobody got time for that! HA!

My Catholic faith and relationship with God and Jesus is what leads me and guides me through my life. Words cannot describe how grateful I am for the peace, strength and grace God gives me every day!

Now it's your turn- whether you come and check out this little space of my mine on a regular basis- or if you are "new" to my blog- I would love to hear from you! Tell me a little bit about yourself- or just a few of your "favorite things." Whatever floats your boat :)

After rambling on this blog for the past 1 1/2 years, I still can't get over how much fun it is and just love all of the friends I have made through it!

Hope you have the BEST day!

P.S. Make sure to come back tomorrow- Erica, Leigh and I are hosting our monthly Pinspiration Wednesday Link-Up party!! The topic is Summer Cookout Recipes! We would love it if you would link up with us and share some of your favorite, Pinterest inspired, summer cookout recipes with us!

  8. Welcome to the Tuesday Talk group!! I'm so glad you've joined us. You know I adore you and your blog. I enjoyed reading some fun facts about you. A few of my favorite things are my planner, iced coffee, road trips, TJ Maxx, footaball, the color green and baking. Olive would have fit right in with your crew on the 4th in her matching Gymboree dress!! She twirled in it all day long and your girls look adorable. Can't wait to hear more about your beach trip. Your family picture at the beach is gorgeous - your beach hair is amazing!!

  9. I'm so excited to co-host Tuesday Talk with you and get to know you better! It's funny how you mention that you used to be a speech language pathologist for kids because... my son, Mason, is speech delayed and was diagnosed with autism a little over a year ago. He is currently working with some AMAZING AMAZING SLPs. You and the people in your profession hold a very special place in my heart. I am so thankful for people like you!
