Friday Favorites!!

Happy Friday!! How was your week?? We got back from my parents' house yesterday and we were greeted by my husband who had cleaned the entire house for me.  That man knows the way to my heart- HA!  We were so happy to see him and it feels so good to be home! :)
I am going to get right to it and share my FAVORITES from this past week!

My mom is an AMAZING gardener (amongst many other things) and she has the prettiest hydrangea bushes!  She cut me several hydrangea blooms before we left yesterday morning and now they are sitting in a vase on my mantle!  Aren't they gorgeous?!? They are my absolute FAVORITE flower and looking at them reminds me of my awesome momma!
While we were at my parents' house visiting, I was able to get my hair done!  THANK YOU Mom for watching my 4 kids and my brother's 2 kids so I could go!!  I got some fun blondish-golden highlights put in my hair and I love how it turned out! It has been SO hard to find a stylist that I love and can afford here in I finally gave up and started going to a hair stylist that I know in my hometown!  She is amazing, a good friend of my sister-in-law and she is very affordable!!
Last Fall, we traded in our 2003 Honda Odyssey and got a new (to us- it is a 2011) Toyota Sienna. I have been in love with my van from the second we signed the papers...but I gained a new appreciation for how AWESOME of a van it is while traveling with the kids by myself this past week.  I am not joking you when I tell you my Sienna is my dream car!! HA!  If you are on the fence about jumping on the minivan wagon...I couldn't recommend the Sienna more. It is TOTALLY a swagger wagon and by far my FAVORITE car I have ever had!! :)
I wrote a little recap about a fun, quick trip we took last Friday-Saturday, but had to include it in my Friday Favorites because it was such a FUN time!! My friend generously invited us to come hang out at a lake house she and her parents (and other family/friends) were staying at for the week.  We had an absolute blast swimming and going out on the boat. My girls were in HEAVEN!! Seeing how much fun they had was a big FAVORITE of mine!!
And this.  I don't think this picture needs much explanation.  Our James is named after his Papa and they have such a special relationship.  While I was home this past week, I was in the kitchen cleaning up after lunch and peeked out to the family room and saw this going on.  My heart was filled with so much joy.  My dad and my son. So thankful I captured this precious moment (the photo is a little blurry- but I don't even care!! :)  Hands down, one of my most FAVORITE pictures of I have of my dad and James together :)

Hope you have the best weekend!! Do you have any fun plans scheduled?  Our YMCA is having a pool party tonight and we are supposed to meet some friends there.  The weather has been so nutty lately- I am just hoping the chance of thunderstorms hold off until we get back from the pool!! :)

Have a fabulous weekend and I hope to see you back here on Monday! :)
