Friday Favorites!!
Hi!!! Happy Friday!
How was your week??
My girls are off school Today and on Monday- and I have several, fun Easter activities for us to do over the next few days! And the best news of all- our weather here in Indianapolis looks gorgeous on Easter Sunday! I am SO excited to have our Easter egg hunt out in our backyard :)
It's time to share some of FAVORITES from this past week...here's what I 've got!
ONE
I would have to say I have not had many cravings during this pregnancy. There were definitely a few times, when I was in my first trimester where I could only fathom eating ONE CERTAIN thing- but after I was done being sick- that went away. Well...never say never because I have been on a peanut butter and jelly kick for the last week and I don't think it is going anywhere anytime soon! HA! PB + J on toast has become my new FAVORITE thing to eat. It is just. SO. GOOD. (And simple and not time consuming/exhausting to make- all very important things to this VERY pregnant momma :)
Please tell me I know not the only one obsessed with a good ol' fashioned PB + J??
TWO
In reading my "usual" blogs, I stumbled across a blog I had never read before. I was intrigued by the title of the most recent post, "The Best Drugstore Blushes" and proceeded to click on over to Meg O. on the Go's Blog. UM. I LOVE this blog! Meg posts about being a mom to two, young sweet little girls as well as her favorite beauty obsessions and finds. Being a total makeup junkie (on a tight budget) I absolutely loved reading her posts about: The Best Cheap Makeup, Drugstore Makeup Dupes and her most recent post about The Best Drugstore Blushes! If you are not already reading Meg's blog, definitely go check it out- it is one of my new FAVORITE blogs to read!
THREE
So after reading Meg's post about the best drugstore blushes- I immediately went searching for her favorite blush. It is by a brand called Milani (I have heard of Milani before- but not overly familiar with it) and it is a baked powder blush. Meg specifically recommended the color Luminoso. Walmart and Target carry it online ONLY- but they are sold out of the color Meg highly recommends. So- then I checked Walgreens- and while they have it online- they don't carry it in the stores. Ladies- this stuff has amazing ratings and it is hard to come by- HA! I finally purchased it on Amazon prime- you can get it here! And the verdict is: I LOVE IT! I was worried about the color of it- I thought it might be too orangey/peach for me- but it is NOT. It is SO pretty, so illuminating and as almost all the reviews say- it looks great on everyone!! If you are needing a new blush or just want to try this one out- DO IT! I have found my new FAVORITE blush and I am pretty excited about it! :)
FOUR
I have met so many fun, wonderful women since I started this little blog last January. Two of my FAVORITE friends and bloggers are: Leigh at Balancing By Faith and Erica at The Second House on the Right. A couple months ago, we started hosting a monthly link-up where we share "inspirations" we have gotten from Pinterest. We call it "Pinspiration Wednesday!" Each month is a new theme and it is so fun to see what everyone has been "Pinspired" by!
So- our next link-up will be Wednesday, April 6 and the theme is: "Favorite Spring "Look" or Outfit! I am really looking forward to seeing what everyone is loving as far as spring outfits go- because I am going to need all the inspiration I can get once this baby arrives and I have to venture outside the realms of stretchy yoga pants and tunic tops! HA!
Mark your calendars and plan on joining us for our next "Pinspiration Wednesday"- we would love to have you link up with us!! :)

Hope you have the BEST day and Happy EASTER!

I'm going to have to check out that blush! Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend!
Oh isn't Milani the best? I recently bought several things off their website, including the luminoso blush. It is definitely my favorite. I also bought one of their everyday eye shadow palletes and a liquid lipstick. Both are awesome.
ReplyDeleteI am all about drug store makeup! I need to try that blog :)
ReplyDeleteThat blush is beautiful!! I'll have to remember that the next time I need blush. I ate PB&Js twice this week! Must be something about that salty/sweet combo that sounds delicious. Doesn't hurt that it's super easy to whip up. Win=win! Hope you have a wonderful Easter weekend :)
ReplyDeleteThank you SO MUCH for you sweet shout out. You seriously made my day! I am so happy you love my blog... and I am really happy you are loving Luminoso! It's my favorite drugstore blush ever! :) It stinks that Milani is a little more difficult to find, but I ALWAYS find it at CVS... in case you want to go back and buy more!! Anyway, seriously, thank you so much!
ReplyDeleteI've been searching (unsuccessfully) for a budget friendly blush...will have to check this one out. Thanks for the tip! Happy Monday! Hope you have a wonderful week!
