5 on Friday!!

It is Friday!! YAY!  My husband is not on call for the entire month of March- which means he doesn't have to work weekends!
That makes me one happy lady!! :)

I am linking up again with DarciApril and Natasha for Five on Friday!

I am also linking up with Andrea and Erika for their Friday Favorites Link Up!

ONE
These two.  I can't get enough of them! They are seriously BEST friends and I just love getting to spend some time with just of the two of them when my two older daughters are at school.  Celine totally terrorizes James and he just smiles and laughs through it all.
Love them both SO much!
 TWO
I have written several posts about my love for Aldi...and they just keep knocking it out of the park with their incredibly affordable, super high quality products!
I picked up these items on my last shopping trip there!  All four of these items are a huge hit with my girls!! And my baby loves the fruit pouches and applesauce!
If you have an Aldi near you and haven't been before- check it out! :)
THREE
My oldest daughter is just too cute!  She is playing in a basketball league at church and is having so much fun!  My husband is one of the coaches and they are having the best time together.  Last week she scored 4 baskets and was so excited!  My husband said the cutest thing is how happy and excited she gets for her teammates when they make a basket or get a rebound.  Love her!

FOUR
Loving this super easy, YUMMY, versatile recipe!

Mini Cake Bites
1 cake mix
1 egg
1 stick of melted butter or margarine
Melt your butter then add the cake mix and then the egg. Mix until it forms dough. Once dough is mixed, simply scoop into a mini muffin pan. I recommend spraying your muffin tin with some baking spray so nothing sticks!
Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes- you don't want to overbake these or they will get hard.

Once they have cooled, the mini cake bites will have sunk a little in the middle- perfect place to plop some icing!  You can have so much fun with this recipe!  You could do a red velvet cake mix and top with cream cheese icing!  Or do triple chocolate- chocolate cake mix, chocolate icing and some shaved chocolate or mini chocolate chips on top!  These are so easy and such a great dessert to bring to a party or to have on hand if you have some friends coming over for dinner and need a simple and yummy dessert to serve!

FIVE
Daylight Savings Time is this Sunday!! This makes me sooo happy!  Don't get me wrong..losing the hour of sleep is not so great- but that extra hour of daylight is priceless!  SO ready for warmer weather, afternoons at the park, flip flops and playing out in our backyard after dinner!

What are some things making you smile today??
Hope you have a fabulous weekend!

  1. We love Aldi too! And I especially love all the new organic and natural stuff they have been getting the past few months. My kids scarf the puffs just like Pirates Booty so that's been a new favorite in our house. And I totally forgot about DST! That could have been bad. I'm teaching Sunday school on Sunday morning and showing up late would be terrible.

  2. That mini-cake recipe looks so easy and versatile. I have a few cake mixes sitting in the pantry and this sounds like a perfect way to use them. Also, thanks for the tip on Aldi. We have one near our house, but I have never tried it! Stopping by from Momfessionals...glad I found your blog. :)

  4. Stopping by from the linkup! I, too, love the time I get with my two youngest while my two oldest are at school. I'm going to miss it next year when my 3 year old starts Pre-K. I'm really excited for Daylight Savings Time. That extra hour of light is going to be amazing after this long, cold winter!!! Enjoy your weekend!
