Thoughts for Thursday!
Hi!! How are you doing?? How has your week been so far??
I might have mentioned yesterday....our week has seemed to move by a little slower than normal....but tomorrow is Friday and we are headed out of town for the weekend on Saturday and the girls don't have school on Monday....so things are looking GOOD in our neck of the woods :)
This past weekend, I took my 2 older daughters out for a little shopping excursion.
I wanted to check out the store, LUSH, because I needed to pick up some birthday treats for someone special (not sure if that someone special is reading the blog today- so I don't want to mention names- HA!).
Anyway...the LUSH store in Indianapolis is located in the Fashion Mall at Keystone and while the store itself is pretty small...it packs a big punch as far as the overall experience goes!
The girls were SO excited to be at the pretty, shiny mall with me. They were also super pumped to be in a store where everything smelled super yummy and loud music was playing :) Charlotte wanted a picture with these purple and pink bath bombs...because- DUH- those are her favorite colors!
Since we had never been to LUSH before- one of the sales associates showed us how a bath bomb works. The girls each got to drop one in the water!
It was pretty awesome to see what the bath bomb does! As soon as it hits the water, it immediately starts fizzing up and perfuming the water. The smell was very concentrated....but not in an overwhelming way. This bath bomb (I can't remember the actual name of it!!) had scents of the ocean and pieces of sea weed in it!
There were SO many different scents of bath bombs to choose from, as well as bubble bars and luxury bath melts. Not being a bath person myself, I was a little unsure of what I should get for the birthday girl...the girls and I literally ended up smelling EVERYTHING and settled on 1 bath bomb and 2 bubble bars.
I just loved how everything was such bright, FUN colors. I didn't take any pictures of it- but the other side of the store was dedicated to handmade facial care items, hair products, and essential oils.
I have to say, I don't know if I will be returning to LUSH any time soon...not because of a bad experience- NOT AT ALL- we had so much fun there! I am just not a bath person AT ALL. We have a beautiful garden tub in our master bathroom and have lived in our house for over a year and I NEVER taken a bath in it! We lived in our previous house for 3 1/2 years- you guessed- never took a bath there either! HA! So- I really don't have a need to shop there on a regular basis...but- it was such a special little shopping trip to go there with my "big" girls. They are getting to the age where they loving "looking around" at things and their precious little spirits get SO excited about EVERYTHING!
So thankful for a little mommy-Charlotte-Cora Maye time :)
Have you ever been to LUSH? If so, do you love their products??
I would love to know your favorites!
Hope you have a FABULOUS day!
I have never heard of Lush - and while I LOVE a bath (nightly), I am not a fan of bubbles, fragrance or perfume additions to my bath.

Hi Leigh- my mom is really funny about scents in her bath too. She does like bubble bath- but it HAS to be a certain scent or she hates it :)
DeleteI've never been to a LUSH, but I have been to a Basin and it sounds very similar! There is a Basin at Disney and Emma thought it was just awesome! She of course wanted to get a bath fizz ball...but they were a bit pricey! Fun though =)
ReplyDeleteHi Johannah! Yes- they were definitely on the pricer side...one bath bomb ranged from 6.95 to 8.95- but since it was a birthday present I was ok with spending that. Regularly- NO WAY! HA!
