Loving Lately!

I hope this finds you having a great start to your week!

With Summer break almost here, I am working on getting my "hair routine" simplified.  Basically, I am trying to figure how to put the least amount of effort into doing my hair, while it still looking like I actually spent some time on it. HA!  I know you know what I am talking about!! :)
One of the ways I am able to get away with only washing my hair a few times a week is because of the glorious invention of dry shampoo!
For the past year and a half, I have used Suave Keratin Infusion Color Care Dry Shampoo- it is cheap, works well on my hair and smells good!  Definitely recommend it!
Well....I read somewhere that the Not Your Mother's brand of hair products were really great, so I decided to try their dry shampoo because I am almost at the end of my current bottle.
I LOVE it!  It is really light and smells WONDERFUL!  I got mine at Wal Mart for just under $5- which is such a great price!  If you have never used dry shampoo before or are looking to try something different than what you are currently using, give this one a try!

Have you ever heard of or used a texturizing spray?
Probably one of the most "talked about" sprays that help with getting that loose, beachy wave look to your hair is Bumble and Bumble's Surf Spray.  I used to use this product back when I was single and LOVED it!! It smells super yummy and really works great.  It is not the cheapest product out there if your beauty budget is quite small like mine is now- you need to try this spray out!  It is also by the Not Your Mother's line of hair products and I think it is awesome!  I got mine at Wal Mart for $4.74.  SO inexpensive! You can use this product a couple different ways...after you take a shower, when your hair is still wet or you can use it on dry hair to give it a different, more tousled, wavy look.
Here is a quick YouTube video on how to use the spray in case you are new to using texturizing sprays!

What my hair routine right now consists of is this: I wash my hair at night and go to sleep with it wet.  I do not put any product in it.  The next morning, I will curl my hair with hot rollers or my curling iron- and spray a bunch of this hair spray all over my hair once it has been curled.  The next day, I will use my dry shampoo.  i spray it on my roots and basically just try to hit the spots on my hair that get a little oily.  Most of the time, my curls from the day before are still pretty much intact and I am good to go after I use my dry shampoo.  On the third day, I spray dry shampoo where it is needed and then use my texturizing spray to pump a little life into my hair :)  I either pull some hair back with a couple bobby pins, do a messy bun or just leave it down.  Then I wash my hair at night again and start the whole process over!  I have really thick, coarse, wavy hair, which I definitely think plays a big factor in me get away with only washing my hair 2-3 times a week.  But these products are a HUGE help too!  They smell great, they are easy on the wallet and I think they work great!

"Day 2 Hair" using my new dry shampoo and sea salt spray!
(P.S. why am I so awkward when I take selfies?!? HA!)

Now your turn, what are some of your favorite hair products?  Are you a "wash your hair only a couple times a week girl" or "I have to wash my hair every day kind of girl" ??

I hope you have a wonderful day!!

  1. I wish I could get away with washing every few days.. my hair is so fine and gets oily quickly :( Unless I bleach the crap out of it and make is SUPER blonde ;) I'm with you on the looking put together with minimal effort for the warm weather hair situation...
I haven't taken the plunge on that bumble & bumble surf hair product yet because of the price, but am ALL over that other one! Thanks for the suggestion!! :)

  2. I definitely wash my hair every day :( it sucks! But I really want to try this dry shampoo. I'm seriously thinking about going and getting it on my lunch break!

  3. Fake hair treatment procedure and things are not for the most part solid for the hair. In this way, people must pick diverse general things, which will benefit them. There are different hair treatment things which are available in the market. Consequently, finding the correct thing is close by incomprehensible. Some privately settled pharmaceuticals fuse using hot oil treatment, hair texturizing spray, Carotene Hair Treatment, etc.

I love hearing from you! Let's keep it nice though...ain't nobody got time for anything else!
