What's Up Wednesday!

Wednesday, March 30, 2016 is the last Wednesday of the month...which means it is time for another What's Up Wednesday Post! I am joining MelShay and Sheaffer for their super fun link up party!

What we're eating this week...I have been planning super simple meals lately.  Mama is VERY pregnant and pretty darn tired by the time dinner rolls around- so we have been grilling turkey burgers and hot dogs on the grill, enjoying our weekly pizza night, eating crunchy shell, ground beef tacos every Tuesday (my girls get such a kick out of "theme" nights like Taco Tuesday) and we have definitely had our share of "sandwich nights!"

What I'm reminiscing about...Aaron and I just celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary yesterday- so I have been thinking a lot about our wedding day! If you want- I wrote a post about some things that have helped us in our marriage these past 8 years- you can check it out here!
What I am loving....
Last week I mentioned that per the recommendation of Meg, from Meg O. on the Go, I bought a new blush by Milani. It is their "baked blush" and I got it in the shade of "Luminoso." It is SO pretty!! And under $10!! I ended up ordered mine off of Amazon (gotta love Prime!!) but Meg actually emailed me and told me that CVS always has Milani cosmetics in stock- so you could also check there for it!
What we've been up to...
We haven't been up to much- but I feel like we are always doing SOMETHING! HA! Does that make sense?!? We had a great weekend celebrating Easter and next week my girls are on Spring Break. We aren't going anywhere- but I have an activity planned for us every day! They are very excited for our "stay-cation!"

What I'm dreading...Nothing really!

What I am working on...these next few weeks are going to be spent getting ready for baby #5's arrival! :) My husband is amazing and has pretty much gotten the baby's room ready- including clearing out the closet, moving furniture around and painting furniture. We are going to get some pictures up on the walls in the next couple of weeks and I need to get some hangers to hang up baby clothes- and then we should be done! I also need to get our guest room cleaned up and organized for my parents- since they will be coming for a few days after the baby is born to help out. Right now- our guest room is covered in Easter decorations and winter coats that I just washed- that need to be put away! And finally- I am SO close to being done with my oldest daughter's yearly photo book- I want to finish it and get it ordered! I would also like to get a jump start on my youngest daughter's book since her birthday is coming up in May!

What I'm excited about...Well...I am VERY excited for my girls to have a week off of school next week! I am getting my hair cut and highlighted next Saturday and SO looking forward to that. My roots are real special right now and I feel like my hair has just gotten so long and out of control!
And finally- I am also excited to be teaming up with Erica and Leigh for our monthly link up – Pinspiration Wednesday!  Our next link up is Wednesday, April 6- which is next week! The topic is: "Favorite Spring Look or Outfit" -So start pinning some fresh, fun "looks" for spring/summer and plan on sharing them with us on April 6! :)
What I am watching/reading...I am not currently reading any novels- but I have been working through Ann Voskamp's "One Thousand Gifts Devotional" and I LOVE it. She has an absolutely beautiful style of writing and every time I finish a devotion I am left with such a renewed perspective on things!

What I am listening to...Shawn Mendes' song, "Stitches" and One Direction's, "Perfect" are pretty much on permanent repeat at our house right girls are OBSESSED. And I am not going to lie- I LOVE the beat of "Stitches!" HA!
What I'm wearing... Oh how I wish I had some cute outfits to how show off...BUT. I don't. HA! At 36 weeks pregnant, I am wearing the same 4 maternity tunics and 3 pairs of maternity leggings and 1 pair of maternity jeans on permanent repeat. I am definitely getting to "that stage" where I am feeling quite "meh" every morning when I get dressed- but I just keep telling myself..only one more month!!
What I'm doing this weekend...The girls and I are going to up the hospital where I will deliver the baby and we are going to get a tour. I really don't need a tour- considering I have already delivered at this hospital AND that this isn't my first rodeo- HA! But- I have to sign some pre-registration papers- so I thought the girls would get a kick out of coming with me. They are SO excited to see where the baby is going to be born!!

What I'm looking forward to next month...HAVING A BABY!!!! AHHHH!! We are all bursting at the seams to meet the newest member of our family!

What else is new...Nothing really! Just enjoying being where we are RIGHT NOW :)

BONUS QUESTION: What is My Best Spring Cleaning Tip?
I don't know if I have a "tip" to share...but I do LOVE getting some major cleaning and organizing done! I am on a pretty regular rotation of cleaning- we mop and vacuum weekly, bathrooms are cleaned weekly, sheets are washed weekly and I am ALWAYS doing laundry.
As far as spring cleaning goes- I make a list of the "big" jobs I would like to get done and I set aside a weekend to do it. So I don't get overwhelmed- my goal is to get 2-3 jobs done in the morning and 2-3 more tasks done in the evening. I am always exhausted by the time Sunday evening rolls around- but a clean, fresh house is totally worth it!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today!! I hope you have the BEST day!!

Tuesday Talk: Anniversary Edition!

Tuesday, March 29, 2016

Hi!! Happy Tuesday!
How was your Easter?? We had a wonderful Easter weekend! The weather ended up being absolutely gorgeous for us on Sunday and we had a great day celebrating!  I plan to share a few pictures from our weekend later on this week!

But today- it's all about how 8 years ago, in San Diego, California, Aaron and I said, "I Do!"
Today is our 8 year anniversary!!

What an incredible journey we have been on the last 8 years!
For those of you who didn't know this already- here is a condensed version of our love story:
We met on! We got engaged 8 months later! We got married 10 months later! We found out we were pregnant with our first baby 6 weeks after we got married- HELLO! (HA!) We bought and sold our first home all within a year's time span....Aaron got accepted to medical school...we had our first baby almost 6 weeks early....and we moved from Austin, TX to Cleveland, OH! Aaron was in school for 4 more years and we added two more babies to our family. He graduated from school, we moved again, had another baby and he started his residency. And now here we are- PHEW! HA! Married for 8 years...1 1/2 years left in Aaron's residency, expecting our 5th baby in less than a month and feeling so incredibly blessed this crazy story is our's!

Let me tell you- we have ALWAYS loved each other immensely- but we had a couple years in the beginning of our marriage where we really struggled. It took a lot of commitment, A LOT of prayers and faith in each other to work out our "issues" and come out on the other side of things! We have grown SO much and because we have been through A LOT- we have an IMMENSE appreciation for our marriage and for each other! We look at every day, despite most of them being very mundane-  as a GIFT. We truly feel SO blessed to get to journey through this life together!

So- enough RaMbLiNg- HA!
In honor of the 8 years we have been married- I wanted to share 8 things that Aaron and I feel have really helped us to have a successful and strong marriage. I asked him to share 4 reasons we have a great marriage and then I added 4 more to the list :) Here they are- in no particular order :)

//1//  We communicate openly and honestly- about EVERYTHING. Even the hard stuff. There is literally nothing neither one of us doesn't know about the other person. And we always share about our days- even if they were totally boring and there isn't much to say- we talk about everything!

//2// We never have and never will fight about money. It has just never been an issue for us!
I think a big reason for that is because a year into our relationship (we had been engaged for 2 months at the time) Aaron went back to school and took a much lower paying job. We HAD to completely change our spending habits- and since we have been in school/residency for the last 7 years- we have operated on a very "trim" budget- HA!
We have the same financial goals, we both have big plans for our family and our financial "health" in the future and we know if we stay focused- we will get to where we want to be.
//3// We laugh during the good times AND the times where we want to pull our hair out (e.g. kids melting down, sleepless nights up with multiple kids/babies, etc)  We have never lived by family since being married- and that has forced us to really become a super strong team- especially in regard to raising our children. We don't have a set of grandparents to call up when we are feeling burnt out or like we need a "break." We have each other and we have really learned to just lean into the crazy that comes with raising (many) young children- instead of resisting it :) We laugh ALL the time- and I can definitely say it has saved us from losing our S*&%T on many occasions! HA!
//4// We have learned the fine art of "GETTING OVER IT." I would definitely say this was a big struggle for me in the beginning of our marriage. I could hold a really mean grudge- and sometimes about the stupidest thing!! Luckily, it was something I "got over" and I think it has been a huge, positive thing for us. We both realize that NOTHING is that big of a deal (And obviously- there are things that are a huge deal- but I am not talking about those :) Yes- we bicker and get mad about silly stuff- but not very often and we never let a fight drag out for days (guilty of doing this in our early years of marriage)!!

//5// We both feel like we really hit the jackpot with each other. Just being totally honest here- Aaron truly thinks I am the BEST thing that has ever happened to him and I feel the exact same way about him! We acknowledge these feelings on daily basis- not because we feel like we should- but because the novelty of US and how much we love each other and enjoy being around each has never worn off!
We are seriously SO grateful for each other!
//6// We are BEST friends and truly enjoy spending time together. Aaron and I have some great friends- but if we are ever given a choice on who we want to hang out with- it is ALWAYS each other. We have SO much fun together, we love being active as well as just hanging out- and there is no one we would rather spend our time with!
//7// If one of us (or both of us) messes up- we say "sorry" and MOVE ON. Aaron and I are both very strong willed and have what you might call, "big" personalities, so owning our mistakes and asking forgiveness for them was not something that came naturally to us.  We have been completely humbled has we have grown in our relationship and now, it is honestly very easy to say "sorry" or "of course I forgive you" or "it's totally okay." We both are very aware of what a gift our life is and we are not interested in wasting even a minute of it- being mad at each other- for something that doesn't even matter.

//8// He thinks I am the most beautiful woman in the whole entire universe and I have no idea how I snagged the hottest man alive. HA! Just being real here! Seriously though- we are constantly affirming one another- and we only have "eyes" for each other. We 100% trust one another and have NEVER second guessed our commitment or faithfulness to each other!
Sooo.... thanks for reading this novel and I hope you don't want to throw up from all the this "mushy" talk about me and my hubby. HA!
He truly is my everything and I just couldn't let our special day go by without sharing a little bit about us and our story :)
And now I am off to get our kids up and ready for school- and to put on a "real" outfit (read: NOT a pair of maternity leggings and sweatshirt- HA!!) Aaron and I are going out for a breakfast date and I am SO excited!! :)

Hope you have the BEST day!!

Friday Favorites!!

Friday, March 25, 2016

Hi!!! Happy Friday!
How was your week??
My girls are off school Today and on Monday- and I have several, fun Easter activities for us to do over the next few days! And the best news of all- our weather here in Indianapolis looks gorgeous on Easter Sunday! I am SO excited to have our Easter egg hunt out in our backyard :)

It's time to share some of FAVORITES from this past's what I 've got!

I would have to say I have not had many cravings during this pregnancy. There were definitely a few times, when I was in my first trimester where I could only fathom eating ONE CERTAIN thing- but after I was done being sick- that went away. Well...never say never because I have been on a peanut butter and jelly kick for the last week and I don't think it is going anywhere anytime soon! HA! PB + J on toast has become my new FAVORITE thing to eat. It is just. SO. GOOD. (And simple and not time consuming/exhausting to make- all very important things to this VERY pregnant momma :)
Please tell me I know not the only one obsessed with a good ol' fashioned PB + J??
In reading my "usual" blogs, I stumbled across a blog I had never read before. I was intrigued by the title of the most recent post, "The Best Drugstore Blushes" and proceeded to click on over to Meg O. on the Go's Blog. UM. I LOVE this blog! Meg posts about being a mom to two, young sweet little girls as well as her favorite beauty obsessions and finds. Being a total makeup junkie (on a tight budget) I absolutely loved reading her posts about: The Best Cheap Makeup, Drugstore Makeup Dupes and her most recent post about The Best Drugstore Blushes! If you are not already reading Meg's blog, definitely go check it out- it is one of my new FAVORITE blogs to read!

So after reading Meg's post about the best drugstore blushes- I immediately went searching for her favorite blush. It is by a brand called Milani (I have heard of Milani before- but not overly familiar with it) and it is a baked powder blush. Meg specifically recommended the color Luminoso. Walmart and Target carry it online ONLY- but they are sold out of the color Meg highly recommends. So- then I checked Walgreens- and while they have it online- they don't carry it in the stores. Ladies- this stuff has amazing ratings and it is hard to come by- HA! I finally purchased it on Amazon prime- you can get it here! And the verdict is: I LOVE IT! I was worried about the color of it- I thought it might be too orangey/peach for me- but it is NOT. It is SO pretty, so illuminating and as almost all the reviews say- it looks great on everyone!! If you are needing a new blush or just want to try this one out- DO IT! I have found my new FAVORITE blush and I am pretty excited about it! :)
I have met so many fun, wonderful women since I started this little blog last January. Two of my FAVORITE friends and bloggers are: Leigh at Balancing By Faith and Erica at The Second House on the Right. A couple months ago, we started hosting a monthly link-up where we share "inspirations" we have gotten from Pinterest. We call it "Pinspiration Wednesday!" Each month is a new theme and it is so fun to see what everyone has been "Pinspired" by!
So- our next link-up will be Wednesday, April 6 and the theme is: "Favorite Spring "Look" or Outfit! I am really looking forward to seeing what everyone is loving as far as spring outfits go- because I am going to need all the inspiration I can get once this baby arrives and I have to venture outside the realms of stretchy yoga pants and tunic tops! HA!
Mark your calendars and plan on joining us for our next "Pinspiration Wednesday"- we would love to have you link up with us!! :)

SO looking forward to celebrating the most important day of the year in our Church with my family!
I love Christmas- but Easter is definitely my FAVORITE holiday.
However you choose to celebrate Easter this weekend, I hope you are surrounded by the people who are most important to you and your day is filled with much LOVE!

Hope you have the BEST day and Happy EASTER!

Thursday Confessions!

Thursday, March 24, 2016

Hi!! Happy Thursday!!
It is a "Friday" in our house today...because my girls are off school tomorrow AND Monday.
I am definitely looking forward to a few days off from our "school schedule" and we are all SO excited about Easter!'s Thursday- so it's time for another confession session!
I am happy to be linking up with Jessica today for another round of Confessional Thursday!

//1// I am kind of obsessed with my Fitbit and meeting my "step" goal and activity goal for the day. Especially now that I have hit the "hugely pregnant" stage- my workouts are nothing to write home about. But I feel pretty darn accomplished if I can get in 10,000 steps/day AND log at least 30 minutes of "activity." I am totally not above walking laps around the house and back yard if I am close to meeting my goal for the day! My girls even love to ask me if my "Fitbit has lit up yet?" HA!

//2// A couple months ago, I was at a major, very busy intersection. I was the first car to go once the light turned green. When it turned green, I paused for a few seconds and then started driving...and almost got hit (my kids were also in the van with me) by another car running a red light. I truly cannot describe the feelings of terror I had. We definitely had our guardian angels looking over us at that moment- as I was able to react quickly and slam on my brakes. Ever since then- I am scared to drive through intersections! I know it is a totally irrational fear to have- but I can't help but think about a car flying out of nowhere and hitting us. Unfortunately- there are A LOT of people who shouldn't be driving- who ARE.

//3// So speaking of irrational fears...but definitely much more light hearted :) - I am terrified of spiders. If I see a small cobweb in the corner of the ceiling, I immediately start freaking out that a spider lives in it.  Then I start to sweat thinking about having to kill the spider.  But if I don't kill the spider, I think about how it will lay hundreds of eggs and I will have a ton of spider babies in my house- so I literally hold my breathe, look away and swat at the cobweb/pseudo spider and hope I kill it.

//4// I have a tendency to obsessively check the Weather Channel app on my phone when there is a holiday or event that is coming up and is weather "related." Does that even make sense?!? For instance- Easter is on Sunday and I just REALLY want to be able to take some pictures of my kids outside and have an Easter egg hunt in our backyard! So- of course- it is totally normal to check the 15 day forecast multiple times a day to see if it is going to be sunny or rainy. Just in case you were wondering- as of right now- it looks like we are going to have beautiful weather on Easter Sunday. But just a couple days ago- there was a 60% chance of rain. You can bet I will be checking several more times before Sunday JUST TO MAKE SURE. HA!
(I am not from the coast....but you would think I am by how often I check the weather- HA!)

And that's all I have for today!!
What about you?? Any confessions you want to share?? :)

Hope you have the BEST day!

Along with Jessica, I am linking up with Annie and Natalie! :)

Weekly Walmart Finds: Furniture Edition!

Wednesday, March 23, 2016

Happy Wednesday!!
It's time for another "edition" of Weekly Walmart Finds! :)
(Please try and contain your excitement- HA!)

So- today I thought I would share about some pieces of furniture that not only have super great ratings on but that we actually OWN and have in our house!
I think furniture can be a tricky thing to: 1) buy online and 2) feel comfortable buying from a "discount" store. So- I am here to tell you about 3 items that I would highly recommend!

We got this organizer when we moved into our house about 1 1/2 years ago. One of our playrooms is the first thing you see when you walk into our house and I wanted a piece of furniture that could hold all of my kids' toys- but didn't scream- PLAYROOM! HA!
Here is a picture of our actual 8 Cube Organizer. I love it! It is SO sturdy and even when we are done with needing it for a playroom- it will be a piece of furniture that can be used in another room of our house! This organizer has a 4.4 star rating out of 1,268 reviews! And right now it is on sale for $68.00!! I think that is such a great value- especially for how well made it is!
The organizer does NOT come with the storage cubes included- but you can find them here- in a BUNCH of fun colors for $7.97 - $11.34 for a pair of two! The prices vary a bit depending on what color/pattern you want. We have the boring taupe colored ones...but I wish we had the fun aqua colored ones pictured below!!
Next up is this TV table by the Sauder Harbor View Collection. It is made for TV's up to 60 inches. The color of this particular TV stand is called "Salt Oak" - and it also comes in Antiqued White and Antiqued Paint. It is on sale from $229.00 to $184.97 and it has a 4.6 Star Rating out of 126 people!
Here is how the Sauder Harbor View TV stand looks in our living room! We absolutely love it. We keep our DVD player and the girls' favorite DVDs inside the closed cabinet- I love that there are no "visible" electronics.
I absolutely LOVE the Salt Oak is very unique and a cross between a gray and distressed brown- if you are looking for something different than your standard oak or dark wood stain- you might really like this color!
Obviously- at $185- this is not a CHEAP TV stand. But when you start comparing the same size/style of TV stand to similar ones at Pottery Barn or Ballard Designs- you quickly realize what an awesome value it is!
Just for a quick comparison, this Logan Large TV Stand from Pottery Barn, which has a similar (and I know I am using that term quite loosely here) look to the Sauder TV Stand from Walmart, is $799!
And finally- I wanted to show you these nightstands, also by the Sauder Harbor View Collection. The nightstand is $123 and it has a 4.3 Star rating out of almost 20 people!
Here is the actual nightstand in our master bedroom (and just FYI- the lamp is also from Walmart :) In this picture, the nightstand looks REALLY dark, but the stock picture from Walmart is more accurate in showing that it has some "distressing in the finish." The color is called Antiqued Paint.  The top drawer is super spacious and I think they are the perfect size end table to have on either side of our bed!
So- this is NOT the greatest picture showing off our side tables- but I wanted to show you that they don't perfectly match the color of our bed (which my husband made!!) and we LOVE it that way. We didn't want to have a matchy-matchy look in our bedroom- but did want to stick with the darker kind of distressed wood theme. Eventually- these nightstands might get re-purposed to another bedroom and I think it would be fun to paint them a totally different color!
So there you have it! Some of our most favorite pieces of furniture- all from Walmart!
Just a few things to mention- we bought all of this furniture online- but I know you can definitely get the 8 Cube Organizer in the actual store. Shipping is free on anything over $50 on so there was no shipping charges for these LARGE, heavy boxes filled with furniture! All of these items DID have to be assembled- which is definitely something to keep in mind if that is something your husband or you are NOT inclined to do.
Finally- I think it's important to note- these items are not what I consider to be priced "cheaply." For our two nightstands- it was $250. That's a solid chunk of change! Again though, like I mentioned with the TV Stand, while it is not super cheap- it also way less than somthing we could find at Pottery Barn or a store similar to them. We are at a stage in our life where we wanted some nice, sturdy pieces of furniture in our home- but didn't necessarily want to invest in pieces that are in the $500-$1000 range.

So- what do you think?? Do you have any pieces of furniture in your home from Walmart?
Would you consider buying furniture from them??

Hope you have the BEST day!!

10 Things That Make Me Really Happy!

Tuesday, March 22, 2016

Hi! Happy Tuesday!
I hope your week is off to a great start!
Today I am linking up with Karli from the blog, September Farm! She recently started a new link-up called Ten on Tuesday- and I decided to join the fun this week!
So- here's my list of: 10 Things That Make Me Really Happy
(In no particular order:)

//1// Holding hands with my children :)

//2// Going to bed every night knowing all of my children are tucked safely into their comfy beds without a care in the world.

//3// Flip flops. Specifically Reefs. They are the only brand of flip flops I will wear and I own about 15 pairs of them :)

//4// Pool days. I love everything about them- the picnic lunches, the smell of sunscreen, the way all of my kids are so happy and carefree in the water. I can NOT wait for this summer!

//5// Chick-Fil-A Lemonade. I get half diet/half regular and MAN. it is SO GOOD!

//6// Early mornings with just me and a warm cup of coffee.

//7// When all 4 of my precious angels are FREAKING out at the SAME moment- and I look over at my husband- and we both just burst out laughing.

//8// Climbing into my bed with clean, fresh sheets on it.

//9// Exercising with my husband- he is my favorite workout partner!

//10// A long walk and heart to heart chat with my mom.

What are some things that make you happy??

Hope you have the BEST day!

Strawberry, Banana and Kale Smoothie for the Win!

Monday, March 21, 2016

Hi!! Happy Monday!! And HAPPY SPRING!! Despite us having some amazing, warm temperatures the past couple of weeks- it was a BRISK 42 degrees here yesterday on the first day of Spring :) The sun was shining though and my kids, despite saying they were 'freezing' played outside for a good portion of the day. Me? I stayed inside where it was NOT freezing- HA!

How was your weekend? We had a busy Saturday filled with friends over in the morning and a birthday party for Charlotte in the afternoon.  Sunday we went to church, ran a couple of errands and worked on getting the baby's room organized. And when I say "we" I mean Aaron- HA! While he was clearing stuff out of the closet and making multiple trips down to the basement to put things into storage- I was folding laundry and baking cookies :)

And now we start a new week! My girls have a short week of school this week- they have Good Friday and Easter Monday off. I am SO looking forward to spending some special time together, celebrating Easter! (It is one of my favorite holidays!)
So- I normally post my weekly menu plan on Monday's, but I decided to take a break from that this week- 1) because our meals are really boring this week and 2) because I wanted to share an easy way I get at least 2-3 servings of fruits and veggies into my kids every day!

First- I have to share my love for our Ninja Blender. We invested in a Ninja Blender about 3 years ago, after our trusty, classic Cuisinart blender bit the dust. I LOVE smoothies- I have one EVERY day for my breakfast and my kids love smoothies too- so when we were looking to get a new blender- we wanted to a get a powerful one. We looked at the Vitamix- and while the reviews were amazing- it was WAY out of our price range.  We ended up finding a great deal on our Ninja on Ebay and it has worked GREAT for us!! It is by far the MOST used appliance in our kitchen!

So- now for my favorite smoothie "combination." And obviously- this is not a Pinterest worthy "recipe"- but if you have been reading my blog for any amount of time- you know that's just NOT how I roll- HA!

Okay- I get all of my frozen fruits and veggies from Aldi. If you have an Aldi near you- but have not shopped there- this would be the perfect reason to pop in and give them a try! The prices on their frozen fruit is extremely cheap AND if you prefer to use organic fruits- they have those too! In their freezer section, they always have organic, frozen strawberries and blueberries. They also have a variety of non-organic frozen fruits, like the strawberries and blueberries I have pictured, along with frozen peaches, a berry "mix" (raspberries, blueberries, strawberries) and a "tropical" mix (pineapple, peaches and strawberries).
Right by the frozen veggies, they have bags of frozen kale and frozen spinach- which is PERFECT for smoothies! I buy my bananas fresh- and then break them into small pieces and freeze them.
The key to a PERFECT smoothie (in my opinion) is making sure that everything you are putting in it- is FROZEN. That is going to ensure your smoothie has a "milkshake" like texture and it also helps keeps all of the flavors mild and not super strong. For example, a few times, I have run out of frozen bananas and I will throw a couple fresh pieces of banana in my kids' smoothies. They won't drink them when I do that!! The banana flavoring is too strong for them and the consistency is weird. So for us- everything we put in our smoothies is frozen.

To make our favorite strawberry + blueberry + banana + kale smoothie is SO simple:
In one of our Ninja smoothie cups, I put:
3 ice cubes
1/3 cup of blueberries
3 large strawberries
3 banana pieces
1/4 cup kale
1 stevia packet (to give it a little sweetness- you can totally leave this out or use your preferred sweetener like honey or agave nectar!)
For the kids- I use 2% milk, when I make my smoothie- I used unsweetened, vanilla almond milk.
(I JUST ran out of blueberries- so I added another strawberry in place of the blueberries for this smoothie)
I pour liquid all the way to the "fill" line and then blend it up!
It comes out perfect every time!
What I love about this smoothie is that EVERYONE in my family loves them. My two pickiest eaters drink smoothies up (despite knowing there is "salad" in them- HAHA!), my husband loves when I make them for him and James is obsessed with them! I make him a smoothie every day for his lunch. You absolutely can NOT taste the kale- but it is such an easy and awesome way to get a serving or two of veggies in- especially if you have picky eaters in your house like I do- and it is like doing a root canal without drugs to get them eat something fresh and healthy. HA!

(this is "real life" for us- 6:30 am and starting off our morning with a smoothie!)
And just in case you were in need of a great smoothie "cup" for little ones- this one is our favorite: Reduce GoGo's Kids Straw Cup. It has a locking top lid and a straw that can't pull out!
I would love to know- do you make smoothies a lot?? Do you have a favorite "recipe" that you use? Share it with me! :)
I could honestly have a smoothie for every meal- I love them that much!

Hope you have the BEST day!!
