Friday Favorites!

Hi!! Happy Friday!!
Was it me or did this week go by FAST???
I really am having a hard time believing we are halfway through September!!
TIME: Please slow down!! Just a tiny bit! HA! :)

It's Friday...so I have a few FAVORITES to share with you!!

//ONE//
So- confession: I do NOT like Pumpkin Spice Lattes. GASP. I know...I am in the minority BUT I do love pretty much everything else PUMPKIN.
One of my all time favorite treats is the pumpkin pie blizzard from Dairy Queen. Who knew something in a little cup could be SO yummy?!? Well...I have been dairy free for about 1.5 years now...so I have gotten pretty creative when an ice cream craving hits!
I recently found this recipe for a dairy free pumpkin pie smoothie and OMG.
It is SOOOO good!!!
It is my FAVORITE treat lately...and I may or may not have made one every night this past week after the kids have gone to bed :)

Speaking of FAVORITE treats...on Tuesday, I shared FIVE of my 'go-to' dessert recipes that I make ALL.THE.TIME. If you are craving a yummy treat this weekend or need to bring a dessert to a party or cookout...definitely give one these recipes a try!!!
//THREE//
Sooo...it's not quite sweatshirt weather here in Indianapolis...BUT...I wanted to share with you one of my FAVORITE comfy, cute tops I wear once the weather gets cold. It's from Target and they call it a Cowl Tunic (by Mossimo). The sizes are really limited online..but it says a lot of the colors are in the store!! If you are at Target this weekend- definitely look for this top!! It is SO comfy, it's long enough to properly be worn with leggings and it is one of my FAVORITE tops to wear in the fall and winter!! And will you do me a favor?? If you find this in your local Target and they have it in an aqua/turquoise color in a size small- will you email me??? I might just have you buy it for me and send it to me!! HA!

//FOUR//
Speaking of being in Target this weekend...read my post from yesterday (if you already haven't) and consider helping out Noah's Bandage Project!! So many of you have already emailed me, asking for details- and I am just SO excited!! Buying a couple boxes of cute, fun bandaids, seems like such a small thing to do...but it is going to have such a huge impact for so many precious little boys and girls who are going through treatments for pediatric cancer! Email me if you have questions about helping with Noah's Bandage Project in honor of September being Childhood Cancer Awareness Month!

Would it be just absolutely stating the OBVIOUS if I shared that weekends are my FAVORITE!?! HA! They really are :)
I am going to go ahead and assume I am not alone in feeling this way. HA!
Hope you have the most WONDERFUL weekend...and that it's filled with the perfect mixture of getting some things done, stealing a couple relaxing moments on the couch or hammock and some good FUN adventures!! :)

Have the BEST day friends!

  1. I want to try making this smoothie. What did you use or substitute for the vanilla primal fuel? I'm assuming it's a protein powder.

    1. Heather! It is SO good! You can use any kind of vanilla protein powder- this is the one I use: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00J074W7Q/ref=sxts1_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1474034601&sr=1
      Have a great weekend!

  3. I'm not a pumpkin spice fan either. I've only tried it once, and feel weird that I don't like it, since everyone seems to love it. Why do I feel like I need to try it one more time to make sure. Ha! Makes no sense. ;) My oldest can't eat ice cream either, but she likes the dairy free kind made from almond milk. I'm so thankful that there is an alternative for her. Enjoy your weekend.

  4. Confession: I've never tried a Pumpkin Spice Latte because they sound gross!! I love pumpkin other things, but I prefer mocha or caramel flavored coffee drinks. I think those PSL's are overrated. Hope you have a wonderful weekend. We're set to get lots of rain so we'll make the most of it :)

  5. I am definitely going to look for that cowl neck tunic from Target - it looks so so comfy and I like that it covers the bum. Happy Friday.

  6. Yes, this week went really fast. And no, I don't really like PSL's either. They are just a little too sweet for me. I mainly drink unsweetened coffee and latte, so it tastes like sugar overload. But I do like all other pumpkin treats! I will be on the lookout for the sweatshirt! :) Have a wonderful weekend!

  7. I use to like PSL's, but now I can't stand them! But, like you I love everything else pumpkin!
    I have a similar Mossimo shirt, it has the cowl neck, but not the drawstring, in a purplish burgundy color and it is my favorite loungy shirt in the fall/winter time. I'm tall, so it's rarw i can find a shirt long enough for leggings! I will definitely be buying it in a few more colors this season!

  8. I like PSL's but I don't go overboard. I'll get 2-3 an entire season. But like you, give me all the pumpkin. Especially pies, breads, muffins and cakes. Did I just sound like a piggy pig or what?!
