Friday Favorites!!

Hi!! Happy Friday!!

How was your week? Our's was good! The first part of the week we had AH-mazing weather and the latter part of the week has been rainy- BUT- the temperatures have been so mild- so I am NOT complaining! I am SO happy I haven't had to wear my big puffy winter coat! :)

As I do every Friday, I am sharing some of my "FAVORITES" from this past week!

ONE
I mentioned in my post on Tuesday that I picked up a few new E.L.F. products while Walmart. I am LOVING this hydrating face primer!! I have read some really good reviews about it and was really excited to try it out. I have not been disappointed! I have been applying a pea size amount on my face prior to putting on my foundation and it really does a lovely job of smoothing my skin out and giving it a much more "even" appearance. Does that make sense?? I have never used a face primer before- but I am so happy I decided to try this one out- it is definitely one of my new FAVORITE beauty products! And at only $6 a bottle- well- that is just icing on the cake! :)

TWO
We have been getting Baby #5's room ready and in doing so- we have been looking for a small dresser for James to replace the dresser/changing table combo he has been using (that we moved into the baby's room). Well- when I was doing our grocery shopping at Aldi this past Sunday, Aaron took the kids to Goodwill (it's next door to Aldi) and found a really nice, albeit, SUPER UGLY, 3 drawer dresser. He had me go check it out and assured me if I thought it would be big enough to hold all of James' things- he could make it look really nice :)  We ended up getting it and by the time we went to bed on Sunday night- Aaron had already sanded it down and had 3 coats of paint on it! He finished painting it a couple days ago and surprised me by painting the yucky bronze knobs each a different fun color! I am so excited with how cute it turned out!! Including the two green baskets on top of the dresser- this little project only cost us $17! Fun, budget furniture "re-do's" and my handy husband are two big FAVORITES of mine!! :)
THREE
Speaking of James....and doing some shuffling of things around to get ready for the new baby...guess who sleeps in a big boy bed now?!? YUP. We are those parents that put our barely 20 month old baby boy in a twin bed! HA! We have actually done the same thing with all of our girls too :) All of our kids are about 21 months apart and we have never wanted to buy a second crib. So- we have always transitioned them into a twin bed and it has never been a big deal!  James' bed is in a corner- and he has an extra long safety rail alongside of the bed and another short safety rail at the foot of the bed- so essentially is it like an oversize crib in my opinion:) Little stinker has figured out that he can get out of his bed- but he never does- unless it takes us longer than he would like to come get him once he has gotten up from his nap. And here is the best part- James is sleeping SO MUCH BETTER in his new "big boy bed!" For the past couple of months, he had been waking up multiple times, crying, for no apparent reason. This was also happening at nap time! Since we have transitioned him into his bed- his sleep has been AMAZING!! Getting to sleep through the night, uninterrupted, is definitely a FAVORITE of mine...especially since I know that is all going to change for me in about 6 weeks! HA!
FOUR
I had my 33 week appointment for the new baby yesterday and James and Celine came with me :) We killed time waiting for my doctor by taking selfies- nothing captivates two little people like an iPhone! HA! Everything is looking great with baby! This past week I have been feeling EXTRA large- like I have just gotten REALLY big!! I know I am nearing towards the end of my pregnancy- but I still have a solid 6-7 weeks to go! Well, my doctor measured me and apparently baby had a bit of a growth spurt- because I am now measuring 3 weeks ahead! No wonder I feel huge! HA! James was 8 lbs 14 oz and my doctor is predicting this baby will probably be at least 9 lbs. So thankful for epidurals!! HA!
Besides finding out I am growing an extra large baby, we got to hear the heart beat and my daughter Celine asked my doctor if the noise was the "baby laughing." Talk about melting your heart!! Definitely a FAVORITE moment for me!! :)
FIVE

  12. I can't believe your husband painted that dresser. It's so cute! Sometimes my almost 2 yo crashes into the side of her crib and cries. I never thought of transitioning her to a twin bed early. Very exciting to go to those Dr appointments. I miss that!

  13. That dresser for #5's nursery turned out great! It looks brand new and for less than $20 - I am impressed :) Thanks for the heads up about the ELF primer. I use make up primer, but mine is not $6 so I'll be giving this one a try when mine runs out. Glad you had a good doctor's visit - you're in the home stretch!
